Upnorth on Kool aid : looks like Arod is positioned for a jump in year seven, sky's the limit.
Upnorth on 579 : factoring in the three benched years we've seen his best already he will still be great but no improvement.

Bottom line, worst case analysis Arod freaking rocks!

The things I see on this list that sort of stand out. . . . Favre didn't jsut have a 19 year career. He had a 19 year career that was productive every year. Holy shit, the pure length of time that guy played is amazing. Also, Favre was very erratic compared to these guys. Manning is about half-way between Favre and Brady, but still, Manning had a somewhat consistent career. Rodgers seems to be the most like Brady. The incredibly low INT #s to go with very high production numbers is pretty amazing. Making plays in the NFL, it's not easy, but to make plays and not have it come at the cost of INT's, that's something I think we need to be shocked and awed by.

While AR may take high sack numbers (Brady being the only other QB on this list who takes even a normal amount of sacks) I think we have to take the sacks with the low INT #s. Also, AR's rushing numbers make up somewhat for his sack totals IMO.

This does have the makings of a huge year for AR. Watching the NFL top 100, Brees and Brady seem to be guys who push pace a lot harder. That's an area Rodgers can get significantly better. Manning seems to have even more command of defenses, that's an area AR can still improve. This year, for AR, is very, very interesting. With the three WR's he has, the TE, the potential at RB, and his OL for the first time not being littered with 1st and 2nd year players. . . . There are some signs there, that we could see a season unheard of from the QB position. The other nice thing, the ST's and defense have potential to be good this year too. This record breaking QB performance, has the potential of having a happy ending (a championship.)

AR has the start of an all time great career but I think you'd still call it "a start". This year, he has a chance to enter rare air and add some uniqueness to his legacy. A 2nd SB win on top of an epic season would shoot him past the old-timers right now, without a doubt, and it would put him in the all-time conversation for the first time.

On a side-note, thanks for the comparison during this slow time. It's definitely something new and interesting to look at.

What stuck out to me about AR is he's pretty consistent compared to the others.
If you just average the numbers, you could pencil about 32TD's, 9Int's, 66%CompPct, a 106 QBR and 10 or 11 wins a season for him.

Overall, how impressive are the stats for these QB's? Wow. I don't think this is just cherry-picking stats, either...comp% and Int% are important.

Wow...if that happened...he'd have a really good chance of moving up to #5 in the NFL's Top 100.
