Very interesting article. The way the stats are used is interesting, I think if instead of ypc on rushing if they used rushing attemps the correlations would work out a lot different.
Anyway, food for thought and arguement, or if you want real football you could look at the cfl thread instead...

The one pro-rushing stat was the correlation between play-action pass plays and rushing attempts. From other stuff posted in other threads here, PA passes have a lot of advantages, if you can get the defense to buy into them.

With no running game, defenses figured out the Packers last year and were able to shut down the deep game that was so deadly in 2011.
