Packers' Green files for divorce
Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green has filed legal papers in Brown County seeking a divorce from his wife, Heather.
Under Wisconsin law, people filing for divorce do not need to cite a reason for the request.
It is the second time Green has sought a divorce from his wife. Last year, Green, who was facing domestic violence charges at the time, filed for divorce. However, the divorce case was dismissed in December.
In February, Green's lawyers asked Brown County prosecutors to drop the domestic violence charge. Last month, Brown County District Attorney John Zakowski dropped the disorderly conduct charge, citing the couple's reconciliation.
Green played little last season for the Packers because of an injury. He recently signed a one-year, $1.75 million deal for the 2006 season.
Does this mean that the DOC can/will be re-instated because the reason the charge was dropped has disappeared?
