That was the most brutal assassination by statistical comparisons I have ever read. It was completely, factually true ( I surmise), was probably unfair (quarterback-wise, matchup-wise), and was really mean.

Yup. AP's day looks good statistically, 18 carries for 93 yards. But it broke down as:

First carry - 78 yards.
Next 17 carries - 15 yards.

So long as Ponder played like Ponder, all the Lions had to do was focus on Peterson. It will be that way for every team until Ponder shows he can hurt them if the do. Not just a play here and there.
