The injury situation is daunting, but the Packers are now entering what looks like the easiest part of their schedule:

7 Sun October 20 Cleveland Browns
8 Sun October 27 @ Minnesota Vikings
9 Mon November 4 Chicago Bears
10 Sun November 10 Philadelphia Eagles
11 Sun November 17 @ New York Giants
12 Sun November 24 Minnesota Vikings

These teams are a combined 9-22. this year Last year, the Packers were 2-3 and then won 9 of the next 10. I'm nor sayin' I'm just sayin'.

If our running game can save our offense short term we might be able to run up a few wins, but we are not an offensive juggernaut right now. Cleveland is playing their best ball in a long time right now (so they are better than average), chicago is not the same team as Cutler is a bit less Cutlerish now with Tresman and Philly has a very good o that could take it to our D right now. If we weren't injured I would not be concerned, but until we get some bodies back and our oline learns to pass block in the first half every week will be hard to win.

While Cutler's been a bit less boneheaded, Chicago's D is heading South. They'd better have Peanut back for the Packers game.

Minny's D has been pretty bad also. I think the O will struggle against Cleveland a bit but then will be fine. They'll be getting out of the D-heavy opponents.

If you take into account what Vegas would think of this, I would have to think that the Packers will be favored in every game left this season outside of possibly the Thanksgiving game. The added aspect of a running game is going to make Rodgers extremely dangerous...especially once Jones is back.

Getting HFA might actually be an advantage for us with our new found running game (plus our much improved run defense).

Ain't that the fucking truth! Sick of feeling like the home field weather is a disadvantage. Could definitely see Lacy pounding the shit out the ball while the D stifles the opponent.

McCarthy in Post Season

Home: 2-2

Away: 3-2

Neutral: 1-0

Outdoor: 4-3

Indoor: 2-1

Don't care where so much as who. If it was either Giants team in a dome, it would have been trouble. Same with San Fran. I do think running versus the G-men would make a difference on any surface/location.

His outdoors record is fucked up when you consider 2 of the 3 are at home.

Yes, but is that unsuitability of the team in the roofless cold or the Giants pass rush?

I'd say Giants pass rush. And given how they generated that pass rush (unlike San Fran or the Bears) running on them would probably be a good answer. Actually, defense would have helped more in 2011.

It's also mistaken: not 3-3 but 4-3

Outdoor L: NYG (07), NYG ('11), @SF ('12)

I think a long win streak is necessary to keep pace with the Lions. Their schedule isn't much tougher until Thanksgiving.
