On the transaction list for today, and listed as such now on the Packers roster.

Not sure why they need another WR on PS.

Just like why did we need 38 TEs last year? :)

Maybe they've seen enough of Myles white being thrown around like a rag doll, and will get Gillett up to speed then switch him for White. He's got 30 pounds on White. Since Gillett was a QB for all but half a season in college, he could also serve as the emergency QB

I was saying last week that my 9 year old could tackle Myles without much issue. Is that guy like 38 pounds?

Extra receivers may help with getting some extra reps for Tolizen.

Substitute lyrics

You're no Sterling Sharpe
Not even Bret Goode
You've come so far
And we know how to make
The most of who you are
MM & Thompson
It's what they've always done

Gillett, the best the Pack could get!

I'm so many faces
It's plain to see
We give you all we have to give
For all a man can be
Where practice is run
You're the champion

Gillett, the best the Pack could get!

Alex Gillet:

Alex Gillett (Jill-LET), a 6-foot-1, 214-pound rookie out of Eastern Michigan, played in 45 games with 33 starts during his career, with 30 of the starts coming at quarterback and three at wide receiver.

He completed 349 of 660 passes (52.9 percent) for 4,448 yards and 35 touchdowns with 34 interceptions during his career. At wide receiver in 2012, he caught 14 passes for 132 yards (9.4 avg.) and a TD, with all of his catches coming in the final four games.

Gillett will wear No. 7 for the Packers.

Yeah, but Myles White is quick as a cat. I think he has potential. Not this year, but I can see why they kept him.

i'm thinking gillett is a QB, especially if the team is willing to let him wear the very prestigious #7 which i'm not sure anyone has been allowed to wear since "the great one" wore it back in 1992 when he was unceremoniously replaced by the #4 bum

i still wonder what could have been if #7 was allowed to keep his job after he returned from injury like he should have been allowed to do. i'm thinking a minimum of 5 super bowls in the 90's
