Per the evil-doer himself:
Linebacker Clay Matthews told ESPN.com that the $15,000 fine he received for hitting San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick out of bounds in the season opener had been cut in half upon appeal.
He also said that a $15,750 fine he received for roughing the passer in the Philadelphia game was withdrawn.

Shouldn't the NFL be as open and public about fine reductions and cancellations as they are in announcing the initial penalty? I thought the second fine from the Philadelphia game was particularly suspect.
So, Matthews has an extra $23, 250 to spend!

No, less than one-fourth as evil!!!
$15,000 reduced to $7,500.
$15,750 withdrawn.
Total of $30,750 reduced to a mere $7,500.

The value of his hair care products is probably that much, but I bet he gets them free.

Matthews has a new lucrative contract. 23 K is chump change.
Doesn't Mathews realize that when the NFL fines a player, the money goes to a charity? As it stands now, Uncle Sam is gonna take that money in the name of taxation and misuse it.

Well, maybe he is evil!
Third fine issued by the league, this time for a helmet contact hit against Detroit.
Anyone remember this?

That makes three fines (in the league's opinion) in just 8 games played this year.
Maybe we should call him "Little-Suh".

Yea ... but all the same, I'm surprized it went to that. The NFL is very tough now on any recognized helmet >>> helmet hit.
