Look at how the Detroit Lions are doing over the last two weeks (Weeks 11 and 12) in terms of this same statistic.

What do you see?

Where does that lead you in terms of optimism and todays big game at Ford Field?

Does this shift in the two teams in this regard predict a Green Bay Packer win? I believe there are other tangibles that need to be examined.

They're by far the healthiest team in the division, and the only one to have their QB start every game. Not only is GB on their 4th QB, but Chicago's been playing their 2nd stringer. Yet, Detroit has failed to put much distance between themselves and Green Bay or Chicago. They could be playing to put the Packers out of their misery today but instead are just looking for some breathing room.

If they don't win today, they're in deep schmidt.

If the Packers lose, their season is on the brink, so there is pressure on their depth to perform. But, like Bobble sez, they've been MIA at the most import position for 4 weeks and have been scrambling to find a suitable backup after the unthinkable actually came to pass (in the same year that they cut their developmental backups right before the season, no less). I believe if the Packer secondary holds Calvin Johnson to something even close to this average yards/game statistic. We have a real chance to see our Packers win this game.

The Packers 'D' cannot allow Megatron to dominate.

Since 2011, Calvin Johnson leads the NFL with 4,843 receiving yards or an average of 115.3 yards a game.

That works out to nearly 5,000 yards since 2011. Is that man really 'just' human?

The above informs me that of all the LION players; this incredible WR deserves the attention of maximum respect.

Take note of how Jeremy Ross looks like an all pro against us. Then again, he could be Jimbob Johannsen and look just as good. The offense today has been horrible, scoring 3 points and only moving the ball 25 yards on that drive. The defense has been bad as well but somehow forced 3 turnovers and scored 7 off of them. The turnovers are the only thing keeping us in this game, but if the offense doesn't pick it up, the game will be over anyway.
