Stud...didn't think I'd say this... Jarrett Bush for stud. Had 2 huge plays, broke up Gonzalez on 4th down play plus the INT at the end.
Stud..Quarless had a very good game.
Stud..Jolly. He played with a fire in his belly today.
Dud....Jones had a drop, Hyde's inexplicable fair catch when he had nearly 30 yards of open field in front of him.
Dud..Thom Brennaman. He stated that Morgan Burnett was having a solid year.. WHAT?!??!? He has stunk overall after getting the big contract extension.
Stud...Mason Crosby didn't channel his inner shanks and was solid on a lousy day to kick.

Stud--Joemailman for starting a game day thread post-rodgers injury that actually led to a win.

Dud--Red for passing out before the game ended.

Stud - Matt Flynn. The INT wasn't really his fault, and he led the offense on 3 straight scoring drives in the 2nd half to pull out the win.

Dud - Burnett. Got beat on both TD's.

Stud - Johnny Jolly. Recovered a fumble and had some other nice plays inside.

Stud - Andrew Quarless. Picked a good time to have a career game.

Mason should get some kind of comeback player award, for somebody who looked so bad, he is back to playing very solid.

Thanks for the thought.

Red hasn't posted since Friday night. Hope he didn't go climbing on ladders again.

Well then sometime this evening red will be missing for 48 hours.

Authorities can be contacted RE: a missing Persons report.

The guys who stick out for me today were Quarless, Jolly and Bush.

Lacy was solid and runs like a beast. I can't wait for ARod to get back to see him run against two high safeties.
Flynn played solid. He held the ball too long in the first half.

Jennings and Burnett looked bad.

With all the ranting in the game day thread the D shut out ATL in the second half.

I really think our O is set for years with the ARod, Lacy combo. Play two deep safeties and run the ball with the Beast. Drop 8 in the box and let ARod pick you apart with single coverage on Cobb, Nelson and Jones.

McGinn has dinged Quarless a few times for his run blocking on DEs, but Q has been having a pretty solid year. If he can continue to gain trust as a pass catcher, he should be a solid, if unspectacular, piece of their offense.

This was the game where I finally bought all in to Lacy. He's still producing even after teams are putting 8 or 9 in the box. I think he's going to be a good long-term player. Of course, I thought the same about Collins too...

And... you were right about Collins.

Stud: Jolly
He came through with a great TFL on Snelling in the 4th quarter forcing a 3rd and long that led to the missed fg.

Did he or Lattimore come back into the game after they got hurt?

Jolly must have, he wasn't on the post game injury report. BJones and Lattimore did not return. Packers played dime after Lattimore went down.

If either is serious, could have a roster move upcoming. That new LB they promoted from PS was playing ST. Is he an inside or outside backer?

These injuries, it's like watching a commercial for Ronco: "But wait, there's more!"

I understand Neal had a big play later in the game, but did anyone besides me notice two plays in the first half in which a ball carrier was starting to go down in front of Neal, but instead of actually tackling the guy to finish, Neal just sort of stood there and sort of gently escorted the guy to the ground. It was as if Neal didn't really want to tackle at all. I didn't get that, not a bit. The guys weren't all wrapped up; they were both stumbling, and Neal just didn't go for a tackle at all.

I didn't see it, but it sounds like the time good players take a poke at the ball. Avg. players finish the tackle (hawk). Bad players do as you described.
