Psych warfare.

I know, I've heard that before, but wow, enough is enough. It has to affect the performance at some point?

Although I know a guy who is just always warm. Yesterday it was freezing rain and windy, he was walking through a parking lot in a t-shirt. Somehow he is just always warm.

edit: I just got corrected. I don't know him, he's my girlfriend's ex-husband, and I apparently erred in not running him over. But he was wearing a t-shirt!

I think Hawk is a much more solid player than Jones, Hawk my not be a world beater, but he's solid.

Of that there is no doubt, esp. the last two years for Hawk when he has played some of his best ball since his rookie year.

But I held out hope Jones could learn inside because he was good enough in coverage and athletic enough to not need to leave the field. Got exposed some last year and was slow at times to react, but I thought a full offseason would help.

Hasn't yet.

I haven't read the ESPN piece but you are over reading the WSJ and Green Bay Press Gazette Dougherty article.

He said it was Thompson's call as for as authority mattered, but he did not say he had made it. He could only infer Rodgers didn't bench himself and that McCarthy was lobbying Thursday for him to play.

PD had no info on what Doc told TT or M3. He could only infer Thompson's call.

He trys hard Joe but that arm isn't good.

It's hard to call him on any route to the sidelines and that leaves right down the pipe between the numbers.

That loses eventually and usually way too soon. WE needed our run game to stay on top for the best hope but ST's and Flynn's style of play and arm killed us. WE left too many points on the field too. A big Red Zone scoring issue with this team.

Fun game. I watched as a fan. Mainly because I don't think Rodgers will be back this year, and we have no shot in the playoffs against anybody without him. They said Rodgers wasn't even close to playing this week. My best friend is a Steelers fan, and we had a good back and forth today. He handled the loss in the Super Bowl with class, so I returned the favor today.

I don't blame the clock operator. He was late realizing the play was blown dead. A good ref would have noticed the clock kept running after the false start. Often, they'll even review the replay to find out what it should be. This group of officials wasn't exactly stellar, so it's not very surprising. Flynn probably would have missed a wide open Jordy again, if he got a chance to run another play. More than anything, blame Lang for doing what you absolutely cannot do in that situation. Blame Nick Perry for doing the same on the Steelers last drive.

Do you think Payton Manning lets that happen ??

Of course not. But Manning has been a starter for 200 games and has run no-huddle most of his career. This was Flynn's seventh start. The only way Manning is applicable is if Rodgers is in there.

Better question is why they didn't stop the clock before the penalty as Dan, yoop or someone suggested. If you are not playing to maximize the number of shots at the end zone. The clock it and call two plays for 3rd and 4th down.

I think the 10 second runoff with the penalty caught them without a script. At that point, the only thing McCarthy can do is yell, its ALL on the QB.

If I am not mistaken, McCarthy would not have had an open mic during that rundown and the setting of the ball.

if rodgers wasn't close to coming back then why wasn't he IR'd along with jolly and bostick?

Because it's a broken collarbone, and there was a chance that he would be back. I did some research on it, and broken collarbone's have been known to heal in 6 weeks. Generally, it takes 10 weeks. And sometimes it takes as long as 16 weeks or more. I think Woodson missed 9 (maybe 10) weeks. If Rodgers healed the same, that would put him back for week 1 of the playoffs. 10 weeks would get him back in the conference semifinals.

Man it's hardly worth it but it's too easy and....that post reminds me of cheese.

Swiss cheese.

What part of clock management, including getting time back on the clock, belongs to our teams HC...Mike McCarthy?

Is Matt Flynn calling his own plays? If so is he related to or the reincarnation of Terry Bradshaw?

Matt Flynn runs the play as directed by the Packers HC...Mike McCarthy. He can 'only' see that play it seems. Checkdowns are something he does with a grocery list.

Again today we witnessed first hand just what a muck up MM can make of play calling and especially when the team needs the big play.

Maybe Flynn wouldn't have missed a wide open Jordy Nelson if MM had called plays to preserve time on the clock or see above.

MM is under way too much stress for his ability to handle such. MM simply wants this season to end so he can be just like TT and .................hide.

It's becoming way over the top too obvious that what's going on puts a brand new meaning on "something stinks in the State of Denmark".

That damn game was ours for the picking and it was simply screwed away by MM and his ways. His somehow needs..ie Shawn Slocum.

That terrible on and off again Packer secondary. How many DB's really stood out today besides Micah Hyde and all his experience? Does MM like his DB's coach? I expected that Steelers WR Antonio brown would burn the Packer Secondary almost at will. Why do those men play so soft?

It's not even worth it. It's really so dumb that fans can see better than the people we count on to put a decent product on the field and given that products efforts. Allow them to enjoy a win.

I place most of the blame for that huge loss on Mike McCarthy. If you don't, then I ask frankly why not? Isn't it much easier to realize that you should?

MM ... yes Mike McCarthy, blew that game away from us and he wins the 'Special Award' for his underachievements and sure he did some things just fine. As the head coach some things doesn't cut it. So for Mike McCarthy that special award:

The green mass of hairy moldy cheese.

Enjoy.

Flynn didn't as you put it f..k it up. He doesn't get the primary blame.
