Thank you on behalf of all Packer fans for watching the entire ESPN broadcast for us. They string Packer fans along for the whole damn show and will have this weak little segment in the last 2 minutes.

ok

no neck or spine specialist has told him to call it a career. the doc that did the surgery is the steelers doc, and he told finley that he's 99.9% chance that he would allow finley to continue playing

he is working out hard and getting ready for next season

they said after the interview that he would like to stay in Green Bay, but he will not give the team a discount and when asked if he thinks he should be paid like one of the top TE's, he said he thinks he's the top everything

they also said after the interview that of the 90 or so guys that have had this fusion, 76% or so have managed to continue their career with no problems

overall, it sounds like his career will keep going, but i don't see it happening in green bay

on a side note, the interview also helps solidify the belief that i have had for a long time. the guy is as dumb as a bag full of bricks

Finley is clear and is coming back, to the highest bidder. Best of Luck J-Fin, hope you don't end up in the NFC North.

i fear TT overpays him because we have nothing else, just like he's done with guys like hawk and jones and what he's tried to do with raji

even when he's been healthy, finley is NOT and has NEVER BEEN a top 5 TE. after 6 years, there is no point in paying him based on potential. he is what he is, a TE that falls somewhere between #5 and #15 when healthy

someone will overpay him, i will throw a shit fit if it's TT

Yes and he's a hoot. Everyone would have to concur that Jermichael is the very best,...at...Ohh yea...

Being a tad.... to totally full of himself.

A powerful...sizzle....down...down....bye... bye.... ego. I'm guessing that somehow that compensates for his delusions.

Do you believe teams will be clamoring for a player coming off an injury like this and will throw a boat load of money at him? It isn't like he has been all that consistent in his career either.

it just takes one idiot

look at a team like, i think its oakland. they're gonna be 70 or 80 million under the cap and need to do some major spending to even him the cap minimum

He's an enigma, he has everything to be a top, or THE top tight end. I'd love to have him back at the right price. He might go through what James Jones did and find out he's only worth what we'll pay him.
If his brain catches up to his talent he could be something else.

i think he would go the greg jennings rather then the james jones route

i think he would take less money to go somewhere else then to swallow his pride and come back for less then he thinks its worth. he also is probably dumb enough to sign a huge deal with back loaded years that he will never see but thinks he will. "hell yeah, Im'a make 48 million in 2019, that makes me the best player EVA"

Maybe, but they won't overpay for him. I really doubt that any team is going to pay top $$ for Finley at this point. He's got a significant injury history at this point, and will be coming off of a serious neck injury. A couple of years ago TE's of Finley's mold were rare but that niche is now becoming crowded. Honestly, his best shot at a return might be in GB.

He is barely worth vet minimum with the injury history and a penchant for using Crisco on his gloves.

jimmy graham just did what we've been waiting for 6 years for finley to figure out how to do

brees flips the ball up in the air and graham simple out jumps everyone for the ball. thats what six and a half foot Te's are suppose to be able to do all the time

Interesting, I don't think an team will break the bank for Finley after the neck injury. His best bet might be a 1 year deal. And hope for the big contract in 2015.

i don't think finley is smart enough to know that this is going to happen

i have a feeling that in his pea sized brain, he thinks that if he's cleared to play, everyone will assume he's 100% and the same player he was before the injury (which imo, wasn't very great in the first place)

i don't think anyone is gonna pay a guy coming off of two career threatening injuries in a matter of weeks 50 or 60 million dollars. but like i said before, it only takes one idiot, and the raiders need to burn a lot of cap space

You set the bar very high, if he's not the best TE in football, he has a brain problem?

I think he's realized his potential, he a very good player.

His agent will be smart enough.

When the first offer comes he'll tell Finley to sign it ASAP.

Yeah. Manning just threw his 51st TD to Julius Thomas, a college basketball player like Graham. There are more pass-catchers coming out and 6.5 ft basketball players who won't make the NBA are heading out for the NFL draft and getting picked up. I think teams are finding their own in the draft, and the market for Finley has shrunk, even without his now significant injury history.

The Raiders management comes out of the Packers tree. I don't think they'll overpay for Finley. Raji, on the other hand...

They won't overpay, but might do what red suggested, giving him an ego deal of 6yrs, $66million FTW!!!!! (with 60 of that being in base salaries of the final 3 years...)

GB doesn't seem to do those sorts of deal, they take the approach that if the player works out they're more than happy to pay out the deal. The most recent examples are Jennings and Rodgers, and soon J Jones and Nelson playing out their second contract. A lot of players don't make it through them, not because of a drop off of skill, but because the teams can not pay them out.

It's simple really.

This decision will be made, judged solely by Jermichael Finley and his vast expertise.
