I wondered who gave Jarrett Boykin the heads up. He looked and looked at it like it was something HOT before scooping that ball up and left for six.

Edgar knew how to run the ball.

Ohh yea...right on brother.

I'm still at:

6 + 1 = 7 or 6 + 2 = 8 or 6 + miss = 6.

I'm decent at reading bubble charts and graphs and understanding decibles, ratio's and %ages.

I know that at the end of a game if the Packers have a number posted on the scoreboard >>> than that of the bad guys.

My Packers won that game.

Surface stats off playtime v. CHI.. MD Jennings - 46 snaps (8.19 yards per play).. Richardson - 17 snaps (4.88 yards per play)..

I'd be interesting to know how many of those were run plays for Richardson. It looks as though the Packers still like the doctor in passing situations.

Holy crap, it was a broken play on protection for 4th and Great:

While Rodgers was busy figuring out where he would go with the ball to exploit the best matchup, Kuhn barked out a late check for the offensive line. “Chilly! Chilly!”

“As usual, the guy making the smart play at the right time,” Rodgers said.

The original protection called for left tackle David Bakhtiari to block down to his right, leaving dangerous end Julius Peppers as the free rusher. Kuhn’s check called for Bakhtiari to stay on Peppers and leave nickel back Isaiah Frey for Kuhn to block on the inside.

The problem? Bakhtiari didn’t hear the call.

“I actually, to be honest, wasn’t aware he was screaming a protection call,” Rodgers said. “But he got us in a good protection call and was coming over to get his responsibility, which was the nickel, who was in the strong side B gap. The left tackle didn’t hear the check. We actually squeezed down.”

It's funny, for me the Superbowl win in 2010 erased all those bad memories and regrets. It's like a reset. unfortunately, now I am accumulating new regrets: The Giants loss (hail Mary, Finleydrop/Rodgers-Jennings misses), the niners loss (579!), but still all good because a lot of teams aren't even getting a sniff at the playoffs.

This, they're getting more takeaways in the last few games, and it seems lately like they can be successful in third and long if they can get there. Their dime group (Richardson/Bush/Hyde), seems to be aware of where the sticks are.

Problem is, with little pass rush and a run defense that can be had, teams can stay ahead of the sticks for quarters at a time and get a few (often successful) shot plays in.

The Packers are the only NFC team to make the playoffs each of the last 5 years, 1 of which resulted in a SB. Not too shabby.

The Giants/9ers stuff happens to teams who are there a lot. Brady has had some terrible games some years because he's almost always there and some years good teams just have the recipe to beat the tar out of other good teams. I remember the Pats-Ravens in 2009, Brady just got pasted that game, threw 3 INTs, and the Pats were out of it after the first quarter. Not unlike the Giants game for Green Bay. The next year, they lost to the Jets in a game that wasn't the pasting on the scoreboard, but IIRC, the Jets punished Brady for the whole game.

Then there are the Giants, who seem to either fail miserably in the regular season or then eke in and then tear ass through the playoffs. Now, if we can only get Datone Jones to turn into 2011 JPP for the next month...
