I was wondering if you all might be able to help me remember something. I have an ESPN Passport account (which you should all get if you like to go to games but tend to forget them over time as I do travel.espn.go.com/travel/passport/‎) and I'm racking my brain trying to remember all the games that I've been to over the years. Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember being at a game when I was a kid in which Favre jumped over a squirrel or something like that. I believe the packers were wearing throwback uniforms but that could be wrong. Anyone remember that game?

Thanks in advance for reading this. Hope I didn't waste too much of anyone's time.

No, that was a Monday Night in Chicago and I was 9 so I don't think my mom would have let me go on a school night. Damn her.

But I do remember that game. CRAZY amount of rain. The image I can picture is Favre running for a touchdown and kinda flipping into the end zone.

I FOUND IT! It was 1994, but the game was against the bucs. I realized from reading a packers uniform website that they only used those throwbacks in 1994 and I remember that I had been to a game against Tampa Bay when I was a kid but wasn't 100% sure it was the same game. So I used Google's newspaper archives and looked up the Milwaukee Journal from September 26, 1994. Reading through that paper I found this:

Thanks to both of you above for your efforts! The bad news is that the ESPN Passport only goes back to 1995. Alas...

I'll try to help bring that game into focus Packman_26 :

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3 at Green Bay Packers 30.

Sunday, September 25, 1994

Conditions @ Lambeau Field 65 degrees and relative humidity 89%.

** That was Green Bay's annual homecoming game that season.

** Brett Favre was 30-of-39 for 306 yards and three TDs and Chris Jacke kicked three field goals as Green Bay routed Tampa Bay 30-3 Sunday.

** That game's lop sides score, spoiled the return of ex-Packers, now Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jackie Harris, Vince Workman and Charles Wilson.

** Sixty former Green Bay players, including four HOFers and six who played on the 1944 championship team, were at this game. They got to see the Packers find their offensive touch. Chester Marcol was at the game and watched Chris Jacke's second field goal break his then team record 120 FG's over an eight-year career.

** Brett Favre passed for 3 TD's in that game. That helped him to a Green Bay Packer record 32 TD's in that 1994 season.

** The great Packer WR Sterling Sharpe scored a TD in that game and one of a Packer record 18 TD's he scored in the 1994 season. Tragically for Sterling Sharpe, the Green Bay Packers and fans. That season would be Sterling Sharpe's last in the NFL and coming to a sudden halt with a career-ending neck injury. A terrible loss for the Green Bay Packers and cutting short a remarkable NFL wide receivers career. This man isn't as yet in the NFL HOF and I await the day that happens.

That Night in Chicago featured the great rivalry between the Packers and Bears but also featured driving wind and rain.

On a 44 degree Halloween Night driving rain whipped over Soldier Field and the north wind gusted at 36 mph. Both goal posts were rockin' with the severe wind that made it difficult for the grounds crew to get the tarp off the field before the game could begin. There were hundreds of empty seats for this game as fans were scared away by the fierce weather.

You mentioned Favre and his diving rushing style. Brett Favre could never be described as undramatic.

Here's one of Brett Favre diving in for six in a historic game against the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 18, 1994. The last game the Green Bay Packers played at Milwaukee County Stadium.

A last-minute comeback drive touchdown dive by Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 21-17.

June 7, 1994 – The Green Bay Packers will wear replicas of their 1937 home uniforms for four games in 1994 as the NFL celebrates its 75th anniversary. Including the a game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sept. 25). The uniforms consisted of “a navy blue jersey with a yellow shoulder panel and yellow numbers on the front and back. The pants are canvas in color... the stockings white, yellow and blue. The helmet will be yellow with a blue cage.” Pic From The Green Bay HOF.

I remember Favre jumping out of the way of that squirrel but I can't remember which game that was. Wait, were we wearing throwback uniforms...?

I was right! I think this must've been a Milwaukee game because I remember seeing the jump on TV.
