- Is Slocum gone yet?
- Is Capers gone yet?
- Is Marshmellow man gone yet?
- Did McCarthy say any dumb ass stuff during his interviews?
- Who else had a career ending injury in the locker room after the game?

On the brighter side, we pick 21 in the draft.

One other time the Packers had the 21st pick in the draft. In 1973 the selected Barry Smith-WR-Florida State. Barry had 45 career catches in 4 years.

It'll be at least a week before they announce any changes. They always go through their exit interviews &c before they make any announcements.

If I were a betting man, though, I'd put money on Slocum getting let go. ST consistently gave up good FP.

Last 5 #21 picks have been decent players:

2009 - Alex Mack
2010 - Jermaine Gresham
2011 - Phil Taylor
2012 - Chandler Jones
2013 - Tyler Eifert

Perhaps that last kickoff return will be the coup de grace. Crosby made an absolutely perfect kick and they let the guy run up the sideline.

Funny you mention that. In what might have been his finest play I have ever seen, Jennings filled the alley on a read option kinda deal. OLB had blocked outside off. Gore could not cut back and had to go over the tackle. He had a gap and Jennings made his finest hit and tackle to take him down.

He spent a lot of time deep and he did not get his hands on the ball, but that one play was pretty sweet.

I saw that same play. He came off the field right after holding his shoulder. I said to my wife "he DOES know how to play football!"

Firing Slocum would help ease the pain of yesterday, but I hope there is more. Maybe something along the lines of 'The Packer Organization thanks Mr. Slocum for his dedicated service but has decided to tar and feather him and ride him out of town on a rail."

By the time we pulled into home after the 3 hour drive, the car's thermometer had fallen from +4 to -8 degrees.

That game/weather was timed perfectly right.

I say as Packerrats lets concentrate on that #21 pick then.

I'll be shocked if the 'LOVE FEST' in Green Bay is somehow seriously disrupted.

It took us 2:45 to get home and one of the businesses on the beltline in Madison said -2.

Even back then the Packers held onto 'no talent' not football players too long.

It's simply a trend that Ted Thompson can't escape.

I'm now more sympathetic towards TT... Thanks.

Is it a disease in Green Bay? One that afflicts common sense thinking !?

A disease that's diabolical...crippling... insidious in it's proportions of self destruction.

A major factor for why we won't see the Packers win another Super Bowl in the TT/MM/Aaron Rodgers Era.

That's so so sad to me. I'm guessing though that two Super Bowls in 46 NFL Seasons (1996 and 2010) is very acceptable. It's hardly domination as we saw in 'the Saint Vince Era' but acceptable.

Is it though?

1996 to 2010 = 14 years and 2010 + 14 = 2024. I'm optimistic ... of a positive nature and mind .... Yahoooo ! Bring on that Super Bowl Championship.

Oh Dear but I may not be here!?

Ohh Dear.

Who will that QB be? Who will the GM and HC and Coaching staff be?

By my count 4 Packers did not finish the game - Shields, Neale, Bak, Mulamba. House even went down briefly, probably lucky he came back or it would've been Boykin at DB to end the game.

edit: did any 49ers go down? Any at all? None that I remember.

Well, I can tell you I almost went down during the game too, too many drinks of whiskey on all the bad plays and almost good plays.

Aldon Smith was out for a bit with cramps. They gave him some midol and he was ok.

School systems are such pussies now a days. When I was a kid, -45 everyday (in the summer), had to tunnel thru the snow drifts.

LT David Bakhtiari was begging for his helmut and I thought that Andy Mulumba did actually get back in for some snaps.

I'm going to watch that game again when I find the stomach for that.

I cannot recall when I was as disappointed in a Packer loss. I'm thinking back to Favre and the GIANTS victory over the Packers and Favre's last game with the Green and Gold.

This loss hurts so very much because I had such a strong belief in a Packer victory.

Damn I bet 12 CP's on the Packers in the Pro Pickem'. That huge confidence pour moi.

In light of one member here going San Fran 12 CP's; I feel a tad dumb.

Memo  to self.

A bad bet predicts a bad result. An exorbitantly bad bet is cruel self punishment indeed.
