He's listed as having liabilities of up to $10 million.

I had totally forgotten about VY and didn't even remember he had been with the Pack for TC when they were looking for QB help.

Incredible when you think this guy was the OROY and a two time pro-bowler.

Not too surprising based on his spending habits.

he made between 35 and 40 million in his career

and he's 10 million in debt

how the fuck do you spend 50 million and have absolutely nothing to show for it?

Article says he's got $200K in jewelery. I'd estimate that's 199K more than I have?

That thinking is how they get into trouble. After you take out taxes, agent fees, union dues, etc., his take was probably in the 15-18M range. Then you get surrounded by "friends" and family who expect you to act like you actually got the full amount and you are asking for it. If you spend 25M thinking you have $35M and you really only have $15M, you make the news and everyone thinks you are an idiot.

I don't think his real problem was a misperception of what he had....I'm just saying.

...and for the most part, everyone would be correct.

Good. That is what you get for spending like a balla. Have fun being a rich person broke.

But someone did say he had "IT"

He better head to one of those jewelers who play you cash for your cold jewelry. ;-)

How do these fools who sign huge contracts squander it all so quickly? We could be set for life for a fraction of the money these clowns get.
