View Full Version : 14 year old finds a way to save the gov big bucks (NOT A POLITICAL TOPIC)
this is pretty cool, a 14 year old set out to find a way to help his school save money. he noticed that different teachers use different fonts, and some were a little fancier then others. he did some tests and found out that the font "garamond" used much less ink then the other popular fonts. he figured that if the school switched all their font to garamond, the school could save about $21,000 per year.
he then took ita step further and figured out that the US government could save about 136 million per year if they switched to the font
so the moral of the story is, print in the garamond font, you'll save money

Sorry Red, but any government that can save 136 million in ink just by changing fonts is blowing way too much money.
sure, but the idea can be applied to any business that does tons of printing
i thought it was pretty impressive that the kid figured out that you can save about 25% on your printing costs, just by using a slightly different font
