I drove throught Detroit in 1973 after driving about 1000 miles before hand.

Not sure what criteria they used, but that list is just flat out wrong. No way in hell Lagos, Nigeria is not on it.

and all those houses and building that were fucked up? yeah those are still there. they were never fixed up or cleaned up

The original premise was DANGEROUS. Detroit may be short on style points, but those other places will KILL you. I'm a little surprised Honduras and Guatemala have places on the list though. I thought other than the Mexico drug war, Central America was shaping up OK.
