#Packers announce they have signed GM Ted Thompson to a new contract extension. He'll be talking shortly.

Thompson on extending McCarthy's deal next: It's been a a priority. The GM gets put away and you do the head coach.

It could probably go unsaid, Im a known Thompson backer, but I see this as giving us a top tier GM for probably the rest of ARs career. Over the course of the next five years, and this says a lot, i think we're more likely than not to win a superbowl and i wouldnt feel that way without thompson. Big signing!! #feelinghappy :)

THANKS TED

My bad, this post was supposed to be applauding TT and the resigning... didn't mean to get a neg rep points...

In the training camp photos section, Ted is photographed talking to Jordy Nelson. Man, Ted looks like a very serious doofus. I can see how people say he has no life outside of football. How could he attract anybody, man or woman, in the garb he had on?

But as a GM, he's at the top of his profession, in my opinion. Yes, he's got weaknesses like any human, but he's one of the top three to five GM's in the game.

Has he always worn a hat like that to practice? Was his personal issue earlier this year a concern over skin cancer?

One of the JSO reporters the other day posted a picture of Thompson with the comment "New Contract, new hat".
