...and Pickett?

I think Pickett and Jolly might find homes when some injuries occur late preseason or early season. Everybody wants to try youth first.

Have Pickett or Jolly even worked out for any other teams?

Marshall Newhouse is the starting RT for the Bengals.

(not really, just for preseason game)

I think I overvalued Jolly. I really thought he'd be in someone's training camp by now.

And it just might be us if Raji's season is done

I'm beginning to doubt Jolly has been cleared to play and this may be why he is still unemployed.

I agree. It took Richardson 10 months to get clearance from the Packers.

I just saw here http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000381516/article/cuts-tracker-player-cuts-for-all-32-nfl-teams that the Bills released Tori Gurley.

Also, if the Packers really liked Patrick Lewis, C, Texas A&M, who was let go and claimed after the last cut down last season, we can put in a claim on him now (if it wasn't an injury situation naturally).

I would think Pickett is in the discussion now.

Jerron McMillian was released by the Chiefs just recently. What did TT and Co. see in that guy?

Brian Brohm is lighting it up this season, 118.8 passer rating.

Not a Packers outcast, but playing with one...Incognito looks to be landing in Tampa. What a combo him and EDS would be, with Dietrich-Smith trying shoes together and Incognito, the league's 'dirtiest player' gooning them while they can't move! :-)

maybe the poster named "Brohm" will feel ok at Packerrats

I see he is here, but under a cloud

lies, damn lies and statistics, eh hoosier?

And now, for the rest of the story: Brohm's numbers on the season are 1/1 for 8yds, 0/0 TD/INTs. I didn't see him throw that pass, but I assume the opportunity came up when Willy, the starter, had to go to the sidelines to tie his shoes.

There is no time to tie your shoes in Canadian football, if you do that you end up missing an entire series. It looks like Brohm's completion was an eight yard dump-off on 2nd and 10 (NFL equivalent = 3rd and long) late in the fourth quarter with his team leading 45-14. You can laugh at him, but the guy takes advantage of his opportunities. Not his fault that his current team isn't willing to let him shine. :-)

So the real mystery is, if he was throwing on 2nd and 10, what happened on first down? He didn't throw the ball, because he doesn't have an incompletion. If it wasn't Willy, then what happened? A run for no gain? Halfback option pass that fell incomplete?

I remember him, he got himself onto 3 or 4 teams the year the Packers brought him in as a UDFA.

Is Nick McDonald still in the league? I remember the Patriots releasing him.

Ya, I started a thread about Draheim just a couple weeks ago, because of his "active" career:

McDonald signed with the Browns this summer but hurt himself training on his own and is on their NFI list.

A run got stuffed. Which in itself is amazing, considering that any DC worth his salt would be deploying a two-deep shell against Brohm's laser-like arm.

I've noticed that Packer retreads tend to get picked up a lot and then left by the side of the road, kind of like real retreads.

DJ Smith and Chris Scott cut by Carolina. Scott was the huge (345#) guard the Packers had on PS a few years ago. Not sure if he ever made it to the regular roster.
M.D. Jennings and Dale Moss (Packer UDRFA in 2012) was released by the Bears.
Terrell Manning cut by the Giants.
Alex Green and Caleb Schlauderaff cut by the Jets.
Brandian Ross cut by the Raiders after being a starter for them last year.
Victor Aiyewa cut by the Chargers.
Patrick Lewis was cut by Seattle.

Very, very sad to see MD Jennings go :(
He kept his mouth shut (not that anyone would've listened), but it still reminded me of when Sharper went to the Vikings and bragged about how many INTs he'd get because he knew all the offenses' tendencies.

Final cut means Colin Cole made the Panthers.

He went from starting DT to inactive for us one year.

An up and down guy if there ever was one.

He was out of the NFL for a couple seasons, then came back to make the Panther roster
