The frustrating thing is that it seems like they have a knack for the Killer Penalty (tm) like the one committed by Jones early on. Instead of getting a 3 and out, Seattle scores.

Stubby has plenty to chew on after this one. His offense was not very efficient for large portions of the game. While Seattle constantly uses offensive plays that set up other plays, Green Bay is way too predictable and seemed overly conservative at times.

We have extra time to prep for a Jets team that will look like a high school squad compared to the Seahawks.

Bright spots:

HaHa looks like he will be a player eventually. Hard to tell if he was good in coverage, but he was active at least. Around the ball a lot.

Nick Perry isn't hurt yet and looked okay. I missed most of the 4th quarter due to a DVR mishap, though.

Not so bright spots:

We need a serious speed update to the MLBs. I'm all for speed instead of size at this point.

We need some long ends. Mike Daniels is a good, aggressive player but he looked like shit IMO. He is not an end. He is way too short. Situational player.

There's some reason for optimism. They won't play a team as good the Seahawks again this season, they can't play any sloppier or as undisciplined as they did today.

However, they could also lose 3-9 more players to injuries. So who knows.

FWIW, the mighty 49ers of yonderseason got beat by 26 in Seattle last year and sniffed their jocks 2 more times after that, beating them once in Seattle and then playing them down to the last play in the division championship.

No stupid running into the kicker, no stupid facemask, etc... and the game is a lot closer. I'm in no way saying we are on the same level as Seattle. They are the class of the league. What I'm saying is, to beat them, you have to play flawless. MM teams never start the year flawless. I'm saying on any given Sunday later in the year, this MM team could (not saying they will) but the could put a flawless game together and beat this Seattle team. That's what it takes. We obviously didn't see that tonight, and I didn't expect to, I guess some people here did...

At least 2 Seattle drives kept alive by Packer penalties

Seattle is really good, but the Packers made it pretty easy for them. No team is unbeatable, and the Packers are not as bad as they looked tonight.

I'll answer my own question

From MM press conference..

“I’m told that it was a knee sprain. As of right now, we do not fear a major injury. That’s kind of where it stands until we get back and get the scans in there, we’ll know better. Right now the trainer’s words were we do not fear a major injury.”

Of course with the Packers trainers that probably means it's a leg amputation.

Yep.

I didn't expect to win tonight. I dunno how many (if any) people did. McCarthy teams rarely start hot.

Oh, and don't forget Rodgers playing just average. He had what could have been a TD on one play and a first down on another if he ran for it, but instead he just rifled it in there.

As you and others have said, the Packers have to play near flawless. They played sloppy and undisciplined AND got completely outplayed in all facets of the game. Can't make it much easier on Seattle.

Hello everyone, first post here.

I didn't expect us to win tonight either. I feel like the missed opportunities (Rodgers throwing the pass instead of running for first down) and the undisciplined play really was the reason we lost the game.

At least we converted a turnover into points.

I can forgive some of the stuff, but to go out and play SO flat and then foolishly and to be so painfully unprepared it's just inexcusable. and now we get to hear about getting that fixed and pad level and other inane nonsense from fat Mike. No question that the better team won.

They say a defense looks like the middle linebacker and that was certainly true for us. This defense had piss poor tackling and acute retardation in solidarity with Brad Jones. Shitbird missed 3 tackles by my count. Guion does not seem like a NFL talent.

The offense was much, much, worse though. Offense is supposed to be what this team does well. No idea why they let us get Jordy on Maxwell all game, had the Seahawks decided to treat him seriously Rodgers could have finished the game with under a hundred yards passing. Its easy to pick on Sherrod because he looked like he was paid to take a dive once he came in but really it was a team effort. Rodgers looked like a gutless game manager and was unwilling to throw his receivers open when they couldn't get separation. The receivers didn't break tackles or make people miss. Randall Cobb couldn't get separation even when covered by the MLB Wagner down the seam.
