Vikings defense looks pretty good, but they are playing the Rams. Regardless they are tackling very well.

180 degrees different....they were very good preseason and it seems to be carrying over.

Zimmer is a good coach - and unlike dunderdummy, he actually believes that playing good defense involves fundamentals.

Dunderdummy is just a gimmick coach now...

Minnesota probably has the best defense in the division now.

Let's pump the brakes a bit on the Vikings having the best D in the division...they're not exactly facing an offensive juggernaut today.

No, but it's clear to see that their tackling is a lot better than GB's.

As per above.

New Orleans gives up 568 yards.
Atlanta gives up 472 yards.
New England gives up 191 yards on the ground.

The Packers defense has a lot of work to do, however there are several know-it-alls on this forum that also have a lot of work to do.

Eh. The Cowboys are doing what they do best with the turnovers and terrible defense. They're still moving the ball pretty easily on them.

And the injuries keep racking up.

The Vikings could be tough this year. They actually have a QB that is good enough to take advantage of a defense preoccupied with stopping Peterson. Their return game will be good. If the defense is solid, they will win a lot of games.

It was just the Rams but yea, I have a feeling they will be competitive in all games this year.....last year despite winning a few their defense was a doormat. Offense wasn't exactly clicking today but some individual plays crushed them.

Just NFL-average QB play will make a big difference for them this year on that side..

Murray has 83 rushing yards in 15 attempts. They don't give it to him once in the red zone.

Romo is actually 10/14. But then he just drops it into double/triple coverage because...why not?

The point you are trying to make, just proves our point that without a good defense even teams with a great QB/offense will fail. Plus I am sure those other teams will make the needed adjustments to improve on defense. The Packers have showed that they have no intention of improving their defense.

Rooting for both teams to destroy each other.

22 serious injuries per side, even though it's bad karma to root for something like that.

Watching the Giants' offense, I realized how predictable the Packers' O is. McAdoo pretty much ran everything out of McCarthy's playbook. That HB flip out of the shutgun is sooo predictable.

Detriot D has a head start preparing for McCarthy's offense. Rodgers better bring his A-game to the Dome in a couple of weeks, or the result might be similar to tonight.
