In '11, the defense was average at best. It played awful against good QBs. Yet, A-Rod consistently played like an MVP. That lessened the pressure on the Packers' D and put more pressure on opposing offenses to take risks, resulting in turnovers for the D.

Last few playoffs losses and the last game against Seattle, A-Rod was so far from sensational, 2011 seemed ancient.

The defense is what it is. For the Packers to stand a chance, A-Rod needs to bring his A-game game after game after game.

I think AROD has to be great for the pack to be very good......anything less against good competition and we're in trouble imo

Well, of course he needs to be great. That's why he's making 20 million a year. Same goes for Brees in N.O. and Manning in Denver etc. These teams have invested a significant amount of their salary cap in one player. He needs to be better than good.
