Lies, damn lies, and statistics.

I'm starting this thread off with this gem from Rob Reischel today:

Rob Reischel ‏@robreischel 1h
From 12/26/10 to 12/11/11, #Packers went 19-0 (1.000). In its last 19, Green Bay is 8-10-1 (.447).

@ReinMan23 @PackerReport 2-4-1 in games 12 didn't start. 6-6 with him.

The key word in that last tweet is "start". He's counting the Bears game, in which Rodgers was knocked out in the first series. If you change that to "finish", the numbers get to be 2-5-1 and 6-5.

Those 5 losses? 3 to SF -- playoffs 2012, season opener 2013, playoffs 2013; 1 to Seattle -- season opener 2014; and 1 heartbreaker in Cincy.

They were talking about that on the radio yesterday in Madison.

If you projected AR's stats to a 16 game season it was something like 4,100 yards, 28 TDs, 10 INTs, 65% rate and 99.0 QB rating. And those are in the games were we couldn't win an "important" game (playoffs or top 10 D).

Seems less on ARod and more on the D.

That last 20 games stat is the new, "close games under 4 points the Packers record is 4-117". Its almost makes me want to call in to a radio show and complain.

Only complaining on the internet is less effectual.
