Doing a story on #Packers having six sacks vs. Minnesota. Second-best game in NFL this season. (continued)

Food for thought for those who think the #Packers defense is terrible. They are 10th in yards allowed per play.

Lacy:

While Lacy was indecisive about his t-shirt, he didn’t run indecisively – something he felt like he had been doing before Thursday night.

“When I made my decision, I made it and just got my pad level down and just drove in,” Lacy said. “Whenever I made my decision, I just stuck with it and got my pads north and south versus making a decision.”

At midweek, Lacy acknowledged that he was more comfortable lining up in the backfield with the quarterback is under center, (http://www.espnwisconsin.com/corp/page/10%2F01%2F14_In_need_of_a_%27shotgun%27_start/16391?feed=2) even though he’d actually had more success when Rodgers was in a shotgun formation.

But on Thursday night, all 13 of Lacy’s carries came with Rodgers under center.

Yeah, they are only using partial opponent adjustments now and so some strange things can happen. Though Atlanta does have a League leading O and 2nd ranked ST.

On Rodgers release: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/blink-and-youll-miss-one-key-to-aaron-rodgers-success-b99363952z1-278143561.html

"He's already dealing with probably the best release, so it's very natural for him."

And yet, many times, it's impossible for him to even get his fingers on the laces.

Rodgers sits down in his locker to explain. The 2011 NFL MVP actually practices throwing with a beach-ball flat grip. Every tenth of a second is crucial. On Sundays, often, he doesn't have time to put his fingers on the laces. So Rodgers practices in "imperfect environments."

And this makes some sense as I have noticed some of Rodgers ball have a wiggle and some are a clean spiral. I wonder if the laces make the difference.

Laces definitely give you a better grip ane control of the ball. I would think a guy's best fastball requires the laces.

I understand the other side. I was critical of the Packer's play during the Sea, Det and first half of the Oak games. It's just the MM sucks ass, he is retarded comments that get my goat. Both teams get paid to play and this year parity seems to be even more true then ever.

I'm curious about the Lions/Vikes matchup this week after both teams' performances this past week. Lions will probably have no Megatron, and maybe the Vikes will have Bridgewater back. Should tell us a little about both teams, this one.

Last I heard, Bridgewater will play & Megatron will not. I think Reggie Bush will be back for the Leos, who seem to go through kickers weekly.
It's @ Minnesota (TCF Bank, Gophers outdoor stadium) but don't know if weather will be a factor.

Will be interested to see how Teddy B. does against that front 4.

Yeah, I think that's the key matchup. I see a low scoring game in this one. My guess is that the Lions sign Matt Prater and he kicks them the winning field goal this weekend. Then follows adoration from Detroit Lions fans, followed by a good year for Prater until he gets busted one more time.

I kinda laughed after the Packers laid that ass whooping on the Vikings...Zimmer said "There will be alot of hurt feeling tomorrow" - asked if personnel changes where being considered he said "everything is being considered".

Anyway, will be an interesting game. No megatron and hobbled Bush hurts the Kitties....

I don't know about JAG because Stafford's still got one hell of an arm but Megatron sure simplifies the decision-making process. When you remove Johnson, Stafford's deficiencies in that department stick out a lot more.

For the sake of the people on the roads in Detroit, I hope he doesn't get a DUI. A 'drunk and disorderly' at a bar might also get him suspended, without the risk of driving.

The way people drive around here, you need to be DUI just to hang with the traffic.
