After reading the JSO article this morning about the number of injuries the Bears have on both the offensive and defensive lines, this seems to me to be the type of game that, if ever you could say such a thing, the Packers really ought to win.

It seems, knock on wood, that the injury situation is reversed from that of previous years. Instead of the Packers scrambling to find a starter for the starter who got hurt starting in place of the original starter who got hurt, it's the Bears who are on their third left guard, or are shifting a tackle to guard, or whatever the case. On the defensive line, Lamaar Houston is out, replaced by Willie Young, who weighs about fifty pounds less.

So, dammit, the Packers really ought to win this one, especially being at home and all. I hope this isn't one of those games where they make the third-stringers on the other team look like pro bowlers.

I imagine the Bears will try to shove it down the throat of the Packer defense. Let's hope the middle of the Packer D doesn't take it and swallow.

On the offensive side of the ball, McGinn wrote an article in which he criticizes the Packers for not running Lacey more.

Me, I'm looking for some serious improvement in the defense.
