Here's yer game day thread folks, in before the Captain is by!

The Packers had a tough loss before the bye. The guards are limping, CBs are banged up, Rogers has a patented Packer's hammy, but honestly the Packers are surprisingly healthy compared to the last few years.

The Bears are coming off a similar last two games - a drubbing at the hands of NE, also followed with a bye week. Bears are looking pathetic at 3-5, with plenty of infighting. Their lone bright spot is (my fantasy team thanks you!) an RB in Forte who is producing week after week.

Recent history is on the good guys side, Rodgers and McCarthy have owned them. Could this be a trap game? Never! All time record stands at 93-90-6 in favour of the Bears, time to bring it one notch closer to even!

Miami just took a lead on a blocked FG return to the Leo 3 and a Tannehil TD to Wallace. Its in Detroit.

Miami might be the best win the Packers have.

Dallas dominated that game in the trenches... SF got out of there with a W b/c Romo was worse than rusty. SF may have won, but Dallas looked like the better team.

Lions are for real this year. They keep winning games.

Lions are more lucky than good, I'm telling ya.

Good/great QBs like Brees and Ryan threw gimme picks in the clutch against them. Missed FG replayed. Fins choking in the clutch. The Lions could've easily gone 0-3 in the past 3 weeks.

Then again, I'm telling ya, one time I lost a nice stack to a bad beat, started to tilt, rebuy for 200 bucks, went ALL-IN the very next hand without even looking at my cards and tripled up.

Point is, it's better to be lucky than good. :)

Indeed. And because they keep winning, they are building confidence. A confident team that knows they can win, even when the ball doesn't bouce their way is hard to beat.

If a team dominates another team in the trenches - if they played 10 times, the team that was dominate on the LOS would win 7/10 of those games.

I watched the game, and without Romo throwing the ball all over the park, Dallas would have won that game and been in complete command the whole way. Romo was rusty, and it cost the Cowboys the game.

That is an objective synopsis of that game. I don't have a horn to toot or an axe to grind for either team - just calling it the way it was. Dallas was much more physical, and in general pushed the Niners around.

Which means Nick Perry is a wrench. Maybe a hammer.

Like in Fantasy Baseball, you play one game at 3rd even though you are a 2nd baseman, and red can start Matthews at ILB for the rest of the year.

Be careful. Its the Bear's offense.

I don't care about the opponent - what I'm looking at is the alignments and personnel.

Matthews in the middle is a surprise, but dunderdummy's got more size out there in the nickel with Perry instead of Jones/Lattimore/et al. I'd actually like to see Neal in there for Hawk, and we might be on to something ;)

Is Neal active?? I've been out of the loop a little bit...

Still, dunderdummy is playing the personnel much the way I would envision playing them. 3 down linemen most of the time, and if he does go to the 2-4, he's got more size and pass rush up the middle on the field - scary!!

Like I said, did someone club dunderdummy over the head and stuff him in the broom closet??

Neal yes, has been spelling Peppers and has been DT rusher in NASCAR I think.

But otherwise, its Perry subbed for Jones/Lattimore/Barrington.
