Cuts both ways. The Packers will have plenty of room, but so will others, making the lure of FA stronger for potential FA's like Cobb.

It's an increase, all righty.

But that jump in cap has been forecasted for a long time now.

The agents, mgt, the players and everybody have cranked that jump in their financial gameplans.

Even with that bounce, resigning Cobb is problematical.

That deal would take up a lot of space and leave the Pack much tighter on the cap than they are now.

TT doesn't like to be painted in the corner, so this whole scenario will be interesting.

As productive and young as Cobb is, there is no way you can let him get away to free agency. Pay the man!

Every year, Ted seems to roll so much cap money over into the next year that I wonder if he'll ever go nuts and re-sign everyone AND add a tired, crusty old "name" veteran that the fans all clamor for.

Cobb is the type of player TT generally resigns.

Randy Wright as a backup QB? His arm might be as good as Flynn's! :-)

I find Randall Cobb pretty low profile.

I hope he loves Aaron Rodgers, MM and Green Bay.

Does he look favourably on his existing professional and private life and Green Bay? He's a Southern Boy born in Tennessee and a Grad of the University of Kentucky.

I hope TT values him correctly for both sides to get to an agreement. That any offer is very fair. That he doesn't hit the open FA market. How may TT avoid that happening?

He might try very hard to seal the deal ASAP.

I believe that Randall Cobb will command $BIG MONEY$.
