Rodgers has always been quite protective of his personal life. He often says his private life is private, even if his professional life is an open book. He often refuses to answer, or talks around questions that are too personal. I suspect he might not be very pleased about this. She had to have known the types of questions they would ask. I wonder if the two discussed it at all before she agreed to do the show?

While I have no doubt he would have avoided the topic, his opinion on the subject of his private life becoming public has changed somewhat. During his radio show at the beginning of the year (after the photos confirmed the story of them dating) he waved the news off almost casually. Previously, he would have been angry at the intrusion. He then explained that a "good friend" had told him something he had taken to heart: something to the effect that you can't fear the reactions of outsiders to the point of retreating from your own life. That is a very loose paraphrase.

He has also taken to telling a few stories about some of the things they do in their own time, although he has probably used her name less than 5 times on the show this year. So its a process. There is also a part of this he can't avoid. Its in her career interest to be seen in pubic and have something to say. And Rodgers is the big topic.

Whatever his reaction was, she was still Tweeting about it later. So his objection was not apparently too strenuous.
