Seattle takes the #1 seed. I'm guessing we finish out with 2 wins and grab the #2 seed...it will be a tough game over Detroit, but they just never seem to be able to win in Lambeau. I think Philly should win out and claim the NFC East, because I'm not sure the Cowboys can handle the Colts. If that happens, then Arizona can lose their last 2 games and still wind up with the #5 seed. That leaves Detroit at #6.

This is actually a pretty good scenario for Green Bay. I think Detroit could easily go to Philly and knock off the Eagles...meaning they would then earn the trip out to Seattle first, and I think Detroit is probably the team with the best chance to actually pull off the upset in Seattle. Green Bay then hosts winner of New Orleans/Arizona, which should be a favorable matchup for Green Bay.

Drew Brees should be respected. Somehow I hope the Saints fail in their bid for the NFCS.

Brees is capable of playing a text book game. He was unreal last night and sure that against a weak Chicago Pass 'D'. The thing is that Jimmy Graham seems to becoming more of what Brees and the Saints need. He's not 100% health wise but getting there.

So God Forbid !

What has to happen for the Packers to be eliminated from the playoffs? It's right ( hopefully wrong ! ) here.

Which teams can clinch a playoff spot during Week 16?

Iggles will probably lose 1 more game yet. Sanchez looked pretty bad the other night.

Hard to see them losing when they are fighting for a playoff and going against Washington and the Midgets. If they were playing a real NFL team, then maybe.

Friday's scenario is pretty likely for the other teams' records. That means a win against Detroit is vital, or the Packers will be sitting at home.

Yup the goal is the NO. 2 Seed.

The way this Packer team performs on the road 'a Wild Card' berth ='s One and Out .........again.

But it is worse than that. If they don't win the division (good shot for a #2), they have a good shot at being out of the playoffs altogether. The Packers are more likely to not get in than to be a wild card.

The FLAT TRUTH of it is.... the Packers need to win the next two weeks.

#Packers up the urgency, pick playoff captains already.

Pack name playoff captains before clinching

Mike McCarthy announced Wednesday that the Packers have selected their six playoff captains -- something that's normally not done until the postseason begins.

If you want the Superbowl trophy you have to win all your playoff games.

In other breaking news, the sun is hot.

Saturday’s playoff implications: Lions clinch berth

By: Gregg Rosenthal ... Around The NFL Editor

" Philadelphia's loss is Detroit's gain. The Lions are in the playoffs for only the second time since 1999 after the Eagles' loss in Washington on Saturday."

If the 'Skins can beat the Iggles can the bares beat the loins tomorrow?

Doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. We need to win both games to win the division. Detroit can lose tomorrow and beat us in week 17 and they'll win the division.

There's no Boolean algebra involved in that.

Sure the Bears can (errrr better ....may? ...ahh .... not likely ) defeat the Lions @ home today.

These are the facts as you know Pugger:

Games on the road are difficult. Games on the road to a divisional rival, more so. The Lions swept the Bears last season.

The last time that the Lions swept the Bears in back to back seasons goes way back to the early 1070's if my memory serves me.

We know the Lions history to choke. :???:

Stay tuned.

The Green Bay Packers ... as a result of the Philly loss in Washington will clinch a playoff slot with:

A) a win in Tampa Bay.

or ... via a back door route:

B) A Dallas win over Indy.

GO PACK GO !
