This is what they play the games for!

Finally at long last, the Packers are playing their first playoff game of the year.

No matter what happens in the game, there is a certain group of posters who will blame the D. We already have one thread started by RutnStrut, "So what if the Packers lose Sunday."

I say screw the negativity, the Packers are the better team, playing at home, who for the last two years has developed an effective running game. We are going to see a lot of Lacy and Starks today. The D has improved since the bye and while they are not dominant they are not the liability they were at the beginning of the season in stretches.

Packers are going to win this one comfortably and Jerruh is going to have a lot of thinking to do on if he truly wants to extend Garrett's contract. 38-13, with ARod having his, I get to watch the 4th quarter from the bench afternoon in Lambeau.

Nothing like a solid dose of Green Bay Packer fan 'Homerism' to kick off a Game Day Thread.

Yaa gotta love it ! :glug:

38-13 Packers. WOW!

The Cowboys will score 30 points today.

The Packers will score more.

Packers 37- Cowboys 30.

Keep Rodgers safe! And run the football.

Lacy and Starks will play a huge role in the 'W' today.

The Packer WR's catch and protect the ball well.

On 'D':

Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers both show up and Sam Shields and the Packer Secondary plays well.

As a fan I've got that 'good nervous feeling' in my guts.

GO PACK GO ! GO !! GO !!!

If Murray starts shredding the Packers and small, soft A.J. Hawk is on the field, McCarthy needs to get him off the field fast. This is no time for sentimentality.

I honestly think McGinn is deserving of a bronze head as a media contributor. Probably not gonna happen b/c then they would have to include a bunch of other beat writers for other teams, too, but he's deserving, nonetheless. McGinn is the GOAT when it comes to the Packer beat.

The NFL Network has Brett Favre on the phone right now and he called from some place in Arkansas. He's hunting there.

He says he doesn't think that the Cowboys though very improved this season has enough to defeat The Packers in Lambeau Field.

He commented on the extreme cold and said that the cold can actually lessen the effect of some injuries. He also said he doesn't know the full extent of Aaron Rodgers injury.

He said a big part of Dallas's resurgence this season has been their running game and they'll need all of Demarco Murray today.

So Brett Favre calls ..... a Green Bay Packer win.

I think the red zone is the key for both sides. Whoever gets stops and forces FGs will win this game. So in some respect, stopping the run is very key in that...but red zone pass coverage will also be key.

Great play by Rodgers. He started forward, and that drew the coverage off. Church was providing in pass coverage in the middle, but started forward when Rodgers showed scramble, opening up Quarless. Flacco should be watching this, there's a thing or two he could pick up, he did not move the safety off yesterday, and it might've cost Baltimore the game.

King Friday

OK, stop that kickoff to the right.

I didn't mind the kickoff...just make a tackle and don't let him gain 12 yards after contact. If you make a kick like that to the corner, you should be able to stuff the guy. Slocum couldn't make use of a perfect kickoff if he tried.

Very good question. They have run similar but its with Cobb.

We run plays on the goal line as if we don't have Eddie Lacy. Fake a run and hit the flat. If that slow ass Cowboy can get wide open, so could Kuhn or Quarless or any blocker from the backfield.

That's what it looked like to me... Murray was about to run by him into open space and set up a screen. He probably panicked and the solution wasn't optimal but he feared a big play if he didn't do that.
