I heard Lacy has an asthma triggered by cold weather. Which makes you wonder why he's playing in Green Bay. LOL

McCarthy: A great playoff victory. The game had everything you wanted to have in a football game. #DALvsGB

McCarthy: Very pleased with the way the defense played. Offensively we started the way we wanted. #DALvsGB

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 5m5 minutes ago
McCarthy on challenge: You could see it on the jumbotron. I had plenty of time to look at it. Saw it 3 times before I threw challenge flag.

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 3m3 minutes ago
McCarthy on Rodgers: We opened things up & he was able to get in some rhythm throws, move around. He played like Aaron Rodgers. #DALvsGB

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 2m2 minutes ago
McCarthy: Andrew Quarless played big today. Drew has a lot of pride. He got his opportunities & made the most of them. #DALvsGB

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 10s10 seconds ago
McCarthy: (Rodgers') performance in 2nd half is as good as it gets. What he's done in last 2 games w/ condition of his calf is spectacular.

Rodgers on calf: We'll see how it feels in the morning. Will probably go through the week similar (to last week). #DALvsGB

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 17m17 minutes ago
Rodgers: Guys did a good job getting open. Line gave me time. Was able to throw some balls in rhythm. #DALvsGB

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 16m16 minutes ago
Rodgers on Davante Adams: Really proud of him. He's a great player & prepares the same way every week. #DALvsGB

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 12m12 minutes ago
Rodgers on Seattle: It'll be a good test for us. To be the best you have to beat the best, and they're the defending champs.

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 12m12 minutes ago
Rodgers on calf: I think I've got 120 minutes left in me.

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 8m8 minutes ago
Rodgers on going back to Seattle: We're playing a lot differently now than we were in Week 1.

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 5m5 minutes ago
Rodgers: Just proud of the way our guys played in 2nd half. Defense made big stops. Gives us confidence that if we're down we can come back.

Rodgers was asked about "New York Bozo" audible, he was unaware it went out over TV. Got embarrassed a bit, even red faced. Hysterical.

He said his offense didn't know the reference either and Bach commented on it. Seems it was a dummy call.

It was an asthma attack that put Starks in the game. Have to say, in his first two series, didn't seem to miss a beat.

"I had a real good first drive. And then...."

And then he had to tell running backs coach Sam Gash that he couldn't breathe. Backup running back James Starks was sent in, and Green Bay fell behind, 14-7, trailing at home for the first time since Week 2 against the New York Jets. All Lacy could do was warm up with a jacket and wait for his inhaler to help him out.

Reason they went away from run in second half: possessions and Cowboys and Packers success running the ball (bleeding clock).

Inside slant: Content to run the ball right at the Cowboys early with Rodgers’ injured left calf limiting him, McCarthy changed his approach when he realized the Packers might not get enough possessions to put up enough points to win. That’s when he opted for more four-receiver, one-tight end sets – with Cobb often lining up in the backfield as a running back but frequently motioning out to a receiver position – to open up the offense.

Davante Adams was no OROY candidate, but he felt like the deciding factor in 2 of the biggest games all season.

THAT'S BECAUSE TED COULD DRAFT A STARTING RECEIVER IN HIS SLEEP. NOW IF HE CAN STAY AWAKE LONG ENOUGH FOR A ILB.

Let's give some props to the pass rushers. After a fast initial start and then some lethargy, it really picked up.

Andrew Healy: With all the deserved Rodgers love late in the broadcast, I hope Romo's performance doesn't get lost. 10.1 yards per attempt amid a Packers' pass rush that frequently got home (four sacks, eight knockdowns).

PLAYER OF THE GAME
Picking Rodgers is too easy. How about the play of cornerbacks Sam Shields and Tramon Williams? The Packers didn’t do anything special to stop Bryant but Shields and Williams were up to the task, which allowed a safety to come into the box to help deal with running back DeMarco Murray. Bryant caught three passes for 38 yards.

With the QB limited in 3 games, this is remarkable:
10: Sacks allowed by the Packers in the last nine games.

I kinda agree. They couldn't stop a-rod. He drove 90 and 80 yards before the dez drop, and we marched the ball right down the field after the drop

So I think k there's a good chance we either get a fg or a TD on that last drive

Shutdown Corner

" On second-and-2 on the Green Bay Packers' opening drive on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, quarterback Aaron Rodgers called out an audible that — best guess — had a funny little double meaning.

"New York Bozo! New York Bozo!" Rodgers shouted as he scanned over the defense."

Right there it's clear to me.

Aaron Rodgers is not only going to be the next NFL MVP but the next Super Bowl MVP.

I'm starting to get that really good gut feeling. :-)

Finally found the answer to my own question:

"With eight points on Sunday, K Mason Crosby brought his career total to 1,122, which is the most points scored in the regular season and postseason combined in franchise history (K Ryan Longwell, 1,119). - Crosby connected on both of his field-goal attempts, further extending his franchise-record streak to 11 consecutive field goals made in the playoffs."

Kind of glad to see that Longwell doesn't own the record any longer.
