I saw the exact same thing and was amazed! I was also amazed he wasn't cut yesterday as a result. I will once again be amazed if he is not cut loose on Saturday. I guess I am easily amazed......

Boger's been one of our best backup DBs throughout preseason, behind only Carroll (who's still only 23 for fuck's sake). I guess you would prefer Horton's 12 yard cushion and Hawkins' general cluelessness and horrid coverage skills? Or is UFA R Bennie Brazell the next TO? Seriously, some people here seem to think we've got an ocean of depth at DB. Guess what? We don't. Carroll and Boger are fine backups, especially when you consider the alternatives.

I heard some nice things about Boger from the TC reports, but a backup DB better contribute on ST too or he is a liability. Maybe it is Stock's fault, but Boger barely made it on the field for punt coverage TWICE, and didn't even slow down the Bengals gunner--didn't even try to slow him down! It was astounding. A red flag went up immediately--low effort player IMHO.

1st: Jan, you should reconsider your new biographical avatar. There are young ones on this messege board and nudity is confined to the garbage can area for that reason.

2nd: I deleted the game so I can't look at just how badly he covered the gunner, but Boger hasn't had a problem on ST in the first two games, so I'm not worried about that. Just because he was late getting on the field doesn't necessarily mean he was fucking up. It could just as well mean he was covering someone else's ass who was suppossed to be out there and wasn't, a common occurance when you got 85 guys on the roster and you're using a lot of em on ST.

I apologize to anyone that saw the avatar of "Jan Ulrich". This kind of stuff it what ruins places and will not be allowed. For anyone worried about having seen it at work don’t worry too much because the URL will show it as being the same as all the other avatars not a porn site.
