I heard a discussion about this on the radio. They said he has flown vintage airplanes for years, and has survived multiple crashes with them!

I knew he was an aviator, I think he even had a position with the EAA. Either way he's a regular attendee of the Oshkosh convention.

He's a vintage aircraft enthusiast. He's an EAA diehard and is in Oshkosh almost every year for the annual fly-in.

He's a darn good pilot. To land that plane without hurting anyone else or hitting the houses in the residential area near that golf course takes some skills. The Force was strong in him that day I suppose....
