Ian Rapoport was talking about this on the NFLN yesterday. Weird.

Packers could have 4 white wide receivers. Kudos to the Packers for refusing to eliminate someone for consideration based on race.

It could be like the 1965–66 Texas Western Miners basketball team in reverse

And two of them are concussions waiting to happen.

MEDICALLY UNSOUND!

Doubt very much that there's interest from Green Bay. Reading the article, it sounds like complete conjecture. TT almost always drafts a WR, and this year's draft is strong again at WR. Neither Welker nor Jennings are going to Green Bay.

I don't understand why TT would want to bring in Welker. They just re-signed their slot guy to a 9+ mill a year contract. And Welker's breaking down physically. It just don't make no sense.

If you want to bring in a vet wide receiver, bring in someone with a different skill set. Like Greg Jennings.

Or just roll with what you've got and count on Abbrederis or Janis to step up, and for Adams to continue to develop.

I could maybe see it. Adams and Janis don't really look like slot guys. Nelson can play the slot but is more effective on the outside. If Abracadabra's ACL return isn't going well TT might be looking for some options behind Cobb. But then again, signing Welker would work against the Packers getting a comp. pick.

Won't happen, this draft is loaded at WR and we all know TT success rate at drafting WR and how tight he is at signing FAs.

I'd buy this IF they didn't have Magic. Now perhaps they are worried about his concussions, that might explain it. Though that kind of situation might not appeal to a vet WR like Welker.

I just don't see where he would fit unless we say screw the TE position and run two slot and two outside WR all day.

Either worried about concussions or ACL recovery isn't going well. Seems like Welker has received an icy FA reception so he might be agreeable to a reduced role with a chance to win a SB. I'd still put it as a longshot.

Worried about concussion so they want to sign Welker? Not sure you can put that all in the same sentence. Maybe it's ok, both of you have a period between those two statements.

Forgot about the ACL. Would be unusual for one of those to go bad anymore though.

Welker needs a new agent. You don't get anyone in the NFL to jump at signing your player by saying the Packers are interested.
