Since Tim Lewis (1986) the Packers have had 13 career ending neck injuries. They have had 8 since Terrence Murphy (2005) This seems like an extraordinarily high number. I wonder what other teams have experienced?

Couple of those guys really wanted to come back - Jolly and Finley both tried to, although it seemed like Finley might've been doing it as 'due diligence' so he could collect on his $10M insurance policy. Murphy got some looks, but when teams showed interest, he couldn't get medical clearance. Collins made noise about it.

An article about it around the league http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2176732-making-sense-of-the-recent-neck-and-spine-injuries-throughout-the-nfl
