I just can't see us getting rid of Davenpoop just yet. I think we keep him and either Herron or Beach goes to the practice squad. Herron is still eligible isn't he? He didn't play the whole season last year.

I think it will be exactly like you said but a RB, WR and OL from other cuts will be on our team instead of Herron, Rodgers and Bourke.

Idea just popped into my head. I know scary isn't it? I wonder if you can test the methods of training players in the preseason by comparing the players coming in from other systems? Are they in better condition than our guys? Is it better to ease their schedules or beat the crap out of them with 2-a-days all the time. I just saw an article saying Belichick and Parcells wanted to get back to more of a hard-hitting style of training camp and beating the crap out of the guys. It will be interesting to see which approach works best.

I'm not trying to be smarter than NFL coaches but I'd say at this point in preseason; being uncertain about a handful of guys is ok. Anything more than that and you're in trouble. Either you have bad players or you might even have good ones but if somehow, the coach/GM, is still uncertain what to do with a glut of talent is double trouble. Where are Packers' GM/Coach at? I think Packers lack depth at OL, TE, FB, DE, DB (S/CB) and KR. I think Packers have 46 (+3) NFL players and the rest should be found elsewhere but that is not likely. Some 6-7 players are worthy of practice squad where some actually have roster quality plus the players with an (*) are NFL players.

I agree with this one--except for two changes. Boger is replaced by a guy that gets cut from another team and Gardner makes it over Brewster. We've all benched about not having a decent veteran in that 4th and 5th WR slot because it's burned us the last few years. I think they'll also look to put Brewster and Tollefson on the PS.
