View Full Version : Is it weird that I'm pulling for the Vikings today?

I can't help it. I know logistically I should be pulling for Seattle because the division should be our primary goal. But I hate Seattle so much and would love for them miss the playoffs altogether so we can avoid playing them. And even if Minny wins we still have a good shot to win the division. Am I crazy?

With Joseph Barr and Harrison Smith looking to be out their defense is gutted. Looks like Seahawks today.

It's okay to be happy if Seattle loses as long as you're not actually happy that the Vikings won.

Contrary to popular opinion over the last week, the Seahawks have not suddenly found an offense based on Russell Wilson throwing from the pocket.

It's not weird. It's unacceptable.

As to the OP, the Packers could use the first round bye this year due to the number of injuries. They can handle Seattle if it comes to that.

Apparently their offense is gutted too.

No, just playing pretty poorly and Seattle is playing some pretty inspired football.
edit: Their offensive line was gutted before the season but you gotta adapt.

I'm not real surprised that the Vikes are losing. If they can't run, they can't win and I didn't think they could run on Seattle.

Wow, I won't even say it as it would sound like sour grapes. Wow.
I mean wow. Call after call is less than marginal.

Well it didn't matter anyway. I was rooting for the team that poses less of a threat to the packers. And that is clearly the Vikings. The last team we want to see, home or away, is a Seattle team that is on a roll come January.

Ras, I'm thinking the Vikes may have peaked too early. However, if they can get some guys back from injury I still think they give the Pack a run for their money in that last game.

They were winning with their defense and with their 4 top tacklers out and their top 3 defenders overall out they had no shot because their offense is extremely pedestrian.

I wouldn't be surprised if Seattle grabs the #5 seed. They're only a game behind the Vikings and have the head to head tiebreaker. #5 seed will likely play at NFCE champ.
