Green Bay needed a last second hail mary to win at DET last week. But that doesn't stop me from my bold prediction.
Green Bay has to get the home demons off their back and start the longest home winning streak in the NFL again.
The Packers embarrass the Cowboys 38-7 and Jerah makes the whole coaching staff walk home after firing them in Green Bay.

Week #2 of adjusted offense. Multiple personnel groups, motion/stacks, or new plays?
My guess is no Monty. But another week of Janis and Magic getting snaps.
Offense shows something is first half OTHER than just the first scripted drive. Cowboys try to run the Packers D over. Looks close early. Packers pull away in 2nd half.

we still need to get something going on offense this week, i think we had one decent drive all game last week, and that resulted in a fumble into our our endzone (that we recovered for a TD)
our other TD drive was all of 10 yards or so after a turnover
the the other was the hail marry (which i don't count as a drive

This Romo-less Cowboys team would be in last in the NFC North. While the Packers have struggled mightily against division opponents at home, it doesn't happen today. An awakened Lacy runs for 120 with 2TD and no fumbles. RichRod's use as a reliable outlet continues today as the Packers main goal is to just stay ahead of the chains.
30-13 Packers in this one.
Then they get ready for a pretty tough 3 game stretch to close out the season.

I really don't believe he ever totally gave up the play calling or at least over seeing it. But today we shall see. Kind of ironic that stubby's coaching has been called into question. Then today when playing a Dallas team that sucks which is a game they should win regardless, he takes the helm again. So if they win easily, it'll all be because stubby was calling the plays.

This conspiracy would be more entertaining if they hadn't already lost to the Bears and Lions at home and won versus the Vikes on the road.

Was play calling a problem in games 1-6? Did Clements get worse as the season wore on; or, did MM feel that Clements ignored his directive to incorporate the running game more?

He has had a play sheet in his hand since Game 3 I believe. I am not sure Clements was operating on his own since then.
I think the more important question is who put the plan together last week.

So you are saying Win-Good and Loss=Bad? I think we have seen that for 6 weeks.
But what your original post was actually hinting at, was that McCarthy was using a weak opponent to stage a triumphant comeback to playcalling. And as I said, had that been the idea, he has had many other opportunities.
He is running out of season to get the offense untracked.

Interesting choices for captains. on his show this week, MM mentioned that Goodson has been outstanding on STs for several weeks, and is attracting a lot of attention from blockers, freeing others to make tackles.

You are correct at what I was hinting at in my original post. But I also think he never really totally gave up the playcalling responsibilities. So will this really make much difference, or has he seen something in practice that makes him think the offense will play better from now on. Hence time to take credit for the play calling.

Last I checked, Stubby is kinda in charge of practices too.
Ultimately as the leader, he gets credit and takes blame. You can only deflect so much before:

As I said in the other thread, I think the construction of the game plan (and the no-huddle) are the important issues here. I actually am not sure the play caller is the issue. I think its the plan.
As Patler suggests, if M3 has taken over the planning, then I think the Offense might look appreciably different. If not, not sure it matters.

Packers have 16 fumbles this year, but have only lost 4. Not sure if they're lucky or good. I do know they do fumble recovery drills in practice. Dallas has fumbled 15 times and lost 8.

Yeah, that's the dreaded 2 tailback active roster.

Agreed.
(At least 2) of their fumbles gave the other team a very short field, though. It'd be easy to argue that Lacy's fumble cost them the Chicago game.

I like the way Russell Wilson does it. He FAKES the handoff to the back and then bootlegs it around the end for the TD. Usually, no one on the defense is within 20 yards of him.
