what say da Rats ? Should he stay or should he go ?

Back in 12 when he sucked I stayed by this guy through it all fully confident with his fluid kicking motion and strong leg he'd be just fine.

He was

But would you pay this guy 4 MIL a YEAR ? He's going to get 3.5 to 4 most likely ?

I'd rather have Mason Crosby at that money than Letroy Guion, if I had to choose between the two.

Agreed. Crosby is the far superior kicker than Guion at this point.

i say pay him

my opinion would be different if we would use that 4 million dollars to go out and get an ILB or TE in free agency, but since we don't roll like that, then just pay him

I don't know I would really have to say this one depends. Can you find a guy who will miss every clutch and game winning kick for less than 4 million/year?

I don't understand the Crosby hate. That guy is a good kicker.

Now the Masthay hate, that I can get behind.

I don't hate him, he just isn't clutch in any way. Misses nearly all game winning kicks/kicks that matter. But will make 5 from 40+ when you didn't need any of them to win (Minnesota game).

I think you could say that a couple years ago, but he's been better at the clutch stuff more recently - minus the clunker against the Lions, for which we will blame the turf.
