This guy has a good track record. He made a beast out of Gary Barnidge.

Another one with Pittsburgh connections.

2006 University of Pittsburgh, offensive assistant/tight ends coach
2007-10 University of Pittsburgh, tight ends coach

Would it help if we called routes more conducive to our TE's strength? Richard Rodgers is slow and will have minimal YAC unless he's already moving forward when he catches the ball. Seems we should have had him in the middle of the field instead of the odd 1 yard flat route we ran all year long. Unless the play calling changes, I don't see this affecting that much.

You know who would make a great tight ends coach? Brett Favre, that's who!

A TE coach with experience coaching TEs?

What a novel concept.

I'm sure we'll "promote" him to assistant head coach/4th string QB coach on Tuesdays/4th down and 8 play creator by next year.

When did I ever full-ass the Fuckdoggle?

Sad to see Jerry Fontenot let go in GB. They got a great football mind in Brian Angelichio though. He's proven he can develop TEs quite well

I chose to read this as " Jerry is a great guitar player, Brian should actually be able to coach though".

Definitely like the background that this guy has. Getting good TE play from marginal talent TE's is just what the Packers need. They have plenty of marginal talent at the TE position.

Now they need to hire a WR coach with that kind of resume. I knew we would regret losing Jimmy Robinson.

can we trade for his TE in cleveland too?

Rodgers could play as well as Bandage if he puts his mind to it.

I think Barnidge has better footspeed and is a good blocker, though.

Yeah, he's about 20 pounds lighter. Barnacle spent a lot of years doing nothing in Carolina and three marginal years in Cle. Hopefully Rodgers will have his breakout year sooner than later. Rodgers turns 24 today.

i think thats the point. if this guy can make nobodies look as good as brainbridge did this year, then maybe he can coach up our JAG crew

It's gonna depend on Stubby too - and how many WRs come back at what level. Drainage got 125 targets in Cleveland this year. Doubt Rodgers gets that many - ever.

I'm beginning to wonder if I jumped the gun. I find it surprising there hasn't been an announcement from the Packers. Its not like we have to wait for Cleveland's season to end. ;-)

Angelichio is going to do wonders with Ladarius Green (Bay) after Ted signs him.

Might be a delay because TT is at the East-West Shrine Game. Not sure if MM is with him.

Packers don't like good players

Not only that, but they don't care about stopping the run or defending the middle of the field.

That's what happens when you have a glorified college scout as GM. You don't get good coaches or FAs, and you lose ,lose, lose, every year.

Yup, this team has stunk for years.
