#Packers gets two fourth-rounders as comp picks. Had two fourths in 2012, too, used them on Daniels and McMillan.

He's has gotten Mike Daniels, Josh Sitton, Jerron McMillan and Davon House in the 4th with comp picks.

Okay, so Jerron McMillan was a dud, but if he can hit on two of them at the level of Daniels and Sitton, this could be a very good draft.

Ted has found some gems in past 4th round picks:

4 129 Jake Ryan

4 132 Mike Daniels
4 133 Jerron McMillian
4 131 Davon House
4 109 T.J. Lang
4 102 Jeremy Thompson

The only ones who haven't produced had unforeseen neck injuries.

Or even House. I'm guessing one of those 4th's is from losing him to FA last year, so they got 4 years out of him then got the pick right back.

btw he had a decent year in Jax, started all year and got a few interceptions.

Did you know since the comp picks started back around 1994 GB has received the 2nd most picks among the NFL teams.

Should not surprise anybody....but was interesting to hear

In one of the years that TT used a pick to trade up, he said he felt freed up to trade his regular pick b/c he had a comp pick right behind it. This year he has 2 comp picks in the 4th round... so maybe our regular 4th rounder will be used to move up from an earlier pick?? Can't trade the comp picks of course.

Maybe he'll trade down to the late first, get another second, then have two seconds a third and the three fourths. Then he could use that fourth that's not compensatory to move up and get a guy he really likes. As long as it's not McMillan or that lousy safety several years ago (from an East Coast college, Virginia Tech or something), or Jeremy Thompson, either.

Aaron Rouse was that lousy safety.

Aaron Rouse was that lousy safety.

Starting safety in Lambeau vs the Bengals. Had such a bad game, they cut his ass the next week!

He free-lanced a safety blitz in the red zone which Carson Palmer read and converted for a TD.

Buh bye Aaron.

Million dollar body, 5 cent head.

Can't trade the comp picks of course.

They can starting next year. Proposal was to allow trades this year, but the change was passed with a one year delay in enactment.

4 129 Jake Ryan

He has potential:

4 121 Carl Bradford

BUST !

Carol Bradford believed he would be selected in Rd. 2 of his 2014 draft class , but fell to the fourth round. He stated he's "always been a sleeper..." and that he would do what he needed to do to get noticed. He listed his biggest challenge as learning to drop back into coverage.

He stated when he first got to Green Bay, his head "was spinning" and that the way the Packers played was like a "foreign language" to him, but now he feels more comfortable.

He was released during the Final 2015 roster cuts, and later signed to the practice squad.

On January 18, 2016, the Packers signed Bradford to a future/reserve contract.

Packer GM Ted Thompson loves his picks....and keeps bringing them back when he might option to look for upgrades. Does Ted Thompson know when it's time to move on

Has he been productive? Nope !

4 109 David Bakhtiari

A good pick by TT.

http://www.nfl.com/player/davidbakhtiari/2540183/profile.

4 122 J.C. Tretter

He did not play a single game for his entire rookie year in 2013. In 2014, he played 8 games. In the 2015 Season he was in the lineup for 16 games and [B]he started 3 games

4 125 Johnathan Franklin

He was showing potential to be an NFL RB.

Johnathan Franklin (neck injury) won't return to NFL

4 132 Mike Daniels

In four seasons has he been productive?

Over the last two seasons he's started 32 games. He's had 56 solo and 37 Assisted Tackles. He's had 9.5 Sacks and he's defended 2 Pass's and had one Pick advancing the ball 6 yards.

* 4 133 Jerron McMillian *

BUST !

4 131 Davon House

Where is Davon House playing football...in Green Bay?

Davon Thomas House currently plays CB for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Why did Ted Thompson allow him to get away?

House was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 11, 2015.[12] In 2015, he broke the Jaguars single season record for pass deflections with 23.

4 109 T.J. Lang

I like this pick. A solid choice by Ted Thompson.

4 102 Jeremy Thompson

A sad story here and this TT pick:

4 135 Josh Sitton

I like this pick.
