Here's some info on him:
http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2006/peprah_charlie

What they said on NFL.com's Draft Analyzer:
He was a three-year starter at Bama at safety. He was an outstanding high school player in Plano, Texas. He has very good ball skills.

He also completed his Masters in only 5 years, that's one smart and motivated man!

We also claimed CB Jarrett Bush off waivers from the Panthers, released Jason Horton, and claimed OG Tony Palmer from the Rams.

No Ponder. No Calico. No Liwienski. No Offord. TT never signs the guys I'd like.

We still need another wideout. He'll probably wait to grab until Hendu is healthy though.

 Think TT is making a mistake not getting Ponder...

At least Horton is gone.

Remember Dr. Seuss' "Horton Hears a Who"?
Instead of "We are here! We are here! WE ARE HERE!!!!!"
It goes, "You are gone! You are gone! YOU ARE GONE!!!!!!"

OK, I'll go call my therapist for a quick Sun afternoon session...........

Sorry, these pictures are getting addicting.

Well, I gues we can bring in more drafted guys--it sure beats picking up the undrafted ones, but who's going to show these rooks how to work? Veteran leadership's falling quickly, and I don't think I want to put all of my trust into the inexperienced coaching staff. A few vet pickups would've been nice.

This is a team that is being built for the future. I think we've got a young team with a rocky season ahead. I've been saying 7-9, but that's if everyone stays healthy.

Still, I think in two or three years this team can contend for a Super Bowl.

Fritz I would believe that statement if Favre was three years younger. Otherwise it all rests on Rodgers.

Hmm Fritz,

I think we have a QB situation to figure out be4 we can dream of a Super Bowl.

I can see it now.....

Berman: And Rex Grossman throws up a bomb to Muhsin Muhammad, but WHAT! #26 steals the pigskin out of Muhammad's hands. And you know if you're gonna have a pig you gotta have some SALT AND PEPPER! Charlie Peprah that is, he takes the ball to the 20, the 10, all the way to the endzone. (Berman goes into a fit of weird noises that a 2 year old would make.)

Bet on it!

At least Horton is gone.

My opinion of our defense improved by a factor of 8 when I saw that. Now if we can just replace the rest of those guys on our 53 man roster who couldn't cut a PS anywhere else, that would be great.

They're sure not Buddha ear lobes.

This draft was reasonably deep at corner and safety. I think TT has really backed bob sanders into a corner with the youth in this secondary. If this was his game plan from the beginning maybe he should have used another pick or two in the 2006 draft on viable contributers, instead of late round or free agent pick ups. TT is failing as a talent scout and a GM.

Well, TT did draft Culver and Blackmon this year. Culver is backing up both S spots and Blackmon will probably work his way into KR/CB.
I don't like the lack of experienced depth in the secondary, and losing Underwood could hurt.
I thought GB liked Horton, but I have no problem with TT looking for an upgrade over Horton. A 5th rounder is usually more talented than a PS or street free agent, but all I care about is if you can play.
The spin I've read off the JSO site is that J.Bush is a prototypical big corner that is raw (never heard that before) and Peprah is a smart ball hawk with better quickness than speed. Sounds like a more physical Hawkins and a Manual clone.
Even if these guys didn't stick with their teams, they came from NYG & CAR, who have much better defensive squads & depth.
