TANNER McEVOY, TE-WR-S-QB, Wisconsin (6-6, 230, no 40). Played at Bergen Catholic in Hillsdale, N.J. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none. "I could see him being a tight end similar to the Oklahoma quarterback (Blake Bell) that went to tight end his senior year and got drafted," one scout said. "This kid has just bounced around. He'd be a big safety. I don't see him fitting there. He's a big athlete." Started the first five games at QB in 2014. Had six interceptions at safety in '15. "I'd like to have him and work with him and figure it out as a practice-squad player," another scout said. "Let him play wide receiver a little bit and rep a bit more at safety and see if he can stick anywhere." Vertical jump of 33½, broad jump of 9-9 and 17 reps on the bench. Projection: Late pick or free agent

Last season McEvoy was a true Swiss Army knife. If he isn't drafted he'd be an interesting kid to bring in as an UDFA.

When I glanced at this thread title, I misread "Dream on, McEvoy" and it got me riled. I have oft posted that McEvoy will wind up being a stud TE or WR in the NFL.

He isn't a really good tackler so I don't think he fits in a defensive backfield.

He has never had to run anything but a "go" route on offense.

He is a good athlete for his size, but a great athlete? not really. I think this scout has him pegged.
