Use this thread to join up. We had 20 teams last year and it worked pretty well. Would love to get to 30 this year and we stand a good chance. We are well ahead of last year's schedule and we know exactly (OK, mostly) how we are setting up the Divisions this year.

We are also looking for 2 or 3 volunteers to be a Commish for the Division. You will have help with almost all setup, but we need someone to verify that the draft date works for most owners in your Division and to monitor that teams are keeping their lineup up to date. You will likely not be called upon for Solomonic feats of wisdom, but just in case, you can start reading here (http://www.sacred-texts.com/jud/talmud.htm).

Just post your commissioner-curious status when you join up.

The default for each Division will be September 4th, 7:00 PM or so. Sunday before the first game which is Thursday, September 8th. Gives people plenty of time to prep.

The commish can change this if another date works for more players. But the Sunday before has been popular previously.

I'm new to this forum, so I'm curious as to why this thread is in this category and not in the Fantasy Sports Group ? I thought that the Green Bay Packers thread group was supposed to be about the Green Bay Packers and not Fantasy Sports leagues . Thank you for the kind invitation , but no , as I am the League Manager of a Standard Rules Fantasy League that plays on ESPN.com . In fact , The Tailgaters Fantasy Football League is also recruiting for the 2016 Season. Our league offers an alternative to "official" sites where the rules are sometimes stacked in favor of a special few .

I'll be pleased to assist any that would like to join in on our 4th season.

I understand that your trying to recruit new members to your league , so am I . However your post sounded like your members needed to check in a second time . As a fantasy league manager , I also can change the Divisions that teams in our league compete in , but they don't need to re-verify their continuing membership. Perhaps I misunderstood your post, and I wish your fantasy league well and trust that we can both have fun fantasy leagues without trashing one another .

After the 25th, we will add in our two late signups (Spaulding and yetisnowman) where needed to get to 10 teams a piece.

Sentiment is very strong to keep Divisions equal so Rat Bowl playoffs are fought on equal footing. Sentiment is also strong to avoid bye weeks. Meaning, if everyone shows up and we are over 20 teams, we will push hard (maybe even go outside Rat membership) to get to 24 teams.

Also final notice, Thompson Division has three posters who prefer non-Holiday draft date. Also have one poster who wants later time in evening. So Draft Date for Thompson is likely to move to Tuesday the 6th of September at 9 PM Central unless this causes even more trouble.

Wolf Division has 9 teams and Thompson is at 10. At this point we are all but certain to have our normal compliment.
