I'll be watching the fireworks guy to see if he can finally step up his game this year.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 3m3 minutes ago
Offensive tackle Josh James joins the injury list for the #Packers. He's not in pads tonight, hanging out with Linsley and Lang.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 3m3 minutes ago
Taking attendance from Lambeau. Appears Sam Shields is out. Took limited reps on Saturday morning, too.

From the looks of it yeah, but that doesn't add up. We have all but published medical reports that he is 18-20 lbs lighter. He didn't gain it back in a week.,

Nice catch by Jared Abbrederis in the WR stack drill. Aaron Rodgers lofted a pass over two defenders, and Abbrederis tipped it to himself.

starks looks as heavy as lacy and you KNOW that's not the case so it's got to be protective equipment under the jersey.

pbmax

Judging by 11 on 11, Packers receivers no better at getting open this year except one play by Janis.

Hundley had Mitchell Henry open but under threw it.

Hundley also had bobbled snap.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 4m4 minutes ago
Second practice in a row where Blake Martinez has blown up a screen pass to James Starks. Good recognition from the rookie. #Packers

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 4m4 minutes ago
Martinez beats Tretter to stop Starks on a screen.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 14m14 minutes ago
Defense beat up on the offense in the half-line drill. Tackles at or behind the LOS by Daniels, Price, Evans, Guion, Thomas, Ryan, Bradford.

DBs winning this matchup.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 6m6 minutes ago
Opening dime defense. Gunter, Shields, Hyde, Randall, Burnett, Clinton-Dix. Ryan first rep at ILB. Then Martinez.

Mike Spofford ‏@mikespofford 13m13 minutes ago
Thought both Lacy & Crockett ran hard during half-lines. Saw Daniels and Matthews blow up plays on D. #FamilyNight

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 12m12 minutes ago
Allison had a nice catch on sideline, too. He took a rep with the 1's on Saturday.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 13m13 minutes ago
I kind of like Geronimo Allison, the UDFA from Illinois. Really good build for a receiver and he's made some nice grabs in camp. #Packers

pbmax

Nick Perry getting reps with the ones.

ADAMS beats Gunter deep on a go.

Cobb beats Rollins with out route. Rollins misread route.

Abby on slant and does not get injured.

Perillo making like Mark Bavaro over the middle.

Datone Jones in nickel or dime rushing inside but in 2 point stance

Brett Hundley not exactly sharp

And he makes a less than ideal throw on a screen.

Carl Bradford with nice fill on stretch play!

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 2m2 minutes ago
On a long run by Starks, Sitton blocked Datone Jones and then Jake Ryan. And then Lowry ruins a run play and gets a sack.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 1m1 minute ago
Backman just can't catch consistently enough. Two training camps now.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 1m1 minute ago
Better practice for OL Matt Rotheram. He had a tough start to camp, especially in 1-on-1s, but he's made some nice blocks tonight.

Through 4-plus days, would say Guion has been one of best players on the field.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 16m16 minutes ago
Barclay having a tough night at center. Brian Price just beat him.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 20m20 minutes ago
Guion practically took the handoff after running over center Don Barclay.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 17m17 minutes ago
Brice in coverage a moment ago on fourth-and-1 bomb to Henry. Brice is a good player.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 15m15 minutes ago
Brice makes another play, jars it loose from Backman.

ADAMS WITH CLOSE TO A CIRCUS CATCH DEEP

Geronimo Allison can play.

Lerentee McCray and Datone Jones with some nice rushes in this period. McCray, who we didn't see in the offseason, showed a lot of power

Janis almost caught a sorta back shoulder throw in end zone. He needs to set his feet and use his height to make those plays easier. He tried to juggle it while slowing his steps.

Trevor Davis drops an easy one. Hot start, trailed off drastically.

Davis doesn't look so hot with pads on, it seems. Hopefully it's not true going forward.

Barclay getting his ass kicked at every position on the line, even against random JAGs.

Janis not adjusting and attacking passes in the air.

From Silverstein: "Randall has to mature some. He's very cocky and that sometimes gets him in trouble. He's a hard worker and he plays the ball really well, but if I had to trust a guy on an assignment to win a game, I'd go with Rollins."

They guy who's been playing football for 2 seasons is more disciplined than our 1st rounder last year? Ugh...

Pugger

They give the coaches names but no player names?

With 80 or so guys in pads it would take forever to announce them all (and almost half of them won't make the final roster).

Pugger
07-31-2016, 10:53 PM
With all of these reports you guys are posting here it appears the TV viewing audience (like me) missed a LOT of the action in this practice. WLUK was more interested in showing the fans in the stands instead of the action on the field until the final hour of practice. :???:

Smuggler is right about Barclay, he had struggles everywhere he played.

I am less worried about Randall's attitude at this point. Cockiness isn't too rare at CB. He might have a big head from playing well last year, but replays of Fitz's catch in OT should deflate him.

Barclay will have a tough time making the team. Matt Rotheram and Kyle Murphy are kind of in the same mold. And they're younger and healthier.

Barclay hasn't been the same guy since his knee injury. His career is probably done, but he had a couple years he can be proud of. He came out of no where and started most of one season for the Packers. Made a few million dollars along the way. Not too shabby.

In six days the Packer DBs will have any cockiness problems knocked out of them by the redoubtable Scott Tolziien.

The Packers should hire you to be their Turk. You can dispense avuncular support and wisdom on the long walk to coach's office and offer prudent investment advice on the ride to the airport.

Having stayed married as long as he has, Patler can also dispense marital advice to the wedded and betrothed.

As The Turk, he'd be the complete package.
