If Green Bay beats Atlanta and Carolina beats Arizona, Carolina is right back in the playoff race. It's nice starting 1-5 and still have a shot at winning your division.

The 2004 Packers started the season 1-4. Ended up winning the North. Guess who was the GM and Coach for the Pack that season?

The guy who brilliantly added BJ Sander and Ahmad Carroll that year right? Those guys put the team on their backs that year didn't they? That was awesome.

Carolina has been beaten by each of the other teams in the South in the last three weeks. They're not beating Arizona, and even if they did, they're not climbing that mountain - especially without the brilliance of BJ and Grabby Smurf.

Mock Sherman all you want, but suppose the Packers had finished 1-15 instead. I doubt Thompson would've used the #1 overall pick on the Great Arm of Butte. Probably trade away the pick for 50 7th rounders. As fate would have it, Pack finished 10-6, won the North, and oh fie, got mooned by Moss in the playoffs. The end result was the 24th pick in round 1. And by fate, the Great Arm fell...

I seem to recall that the last time Arizona played Carolina, the Cardinals received a humble beatdown. But that was last season, I guess. Still, Carolina's season is on the line. They're all-in. Expect them to fight with kung fu.

Carolina, unless the rest of the NFCS implodes, isn't going anywhere this season. Right now they are the 3rd worst team in the league with only the bares and the Brownies with worse records.
