By your thread title TT has already signed the guy. The 53 roster is already set. CALM DOWN!

BS on the roster being set and the title of the thread says TT sign Jason Carter not TT signed Jason Carter. We have 4 WR you think we are going through the year with 4? Not likely.

your right... Misread it. He would be a good addition. I think that they will keep 4 WR until Will Blackmon returns from IR. Blackmon if you recall played WR in college. He could serve as our 5th WR. Just a possiblity.

I could see that but imagine the Pack go out on Sunday and Driver tweaks a hammy and Furgie gets a hangnail! Then we have two WR and have to run two TE sets! well we may have to do that because of the pass rush...

Carter can also return kicks that would be nice...

or maybe...

TT signs WR Koren Robinson, after week one and checks him out until CB/WR/KR Will Blacmon's return?

Blackmon isn't on IR, he's on the 53 player roster although listed as doubtful for Sunday. I see Blackmon as a legitimate return guy for the Pack within a few weeks, but doubt he is in the plans as the 5th WR. I would rather he hone his skills as a CB and return specialist. Look for a KR signing early next week to round out the WR unit, and bolster the return game.

Blackmon (when he's healthy), & Woodson could both play WR if the need arises. Francis is still on the practice squad so I think it's ok to go with 4 WR's, it leaves roster spots open for other positions.

And why didn't TT jump all over WR/KR Willie Ponder? Ex-Giant only led all NFL KO returners in yds per return in '04 and 6th in '05 with 25 YPR. Should have taken Peprah and Ponder. Giants say Peprah was a STs demon. Look for him to show up vs Bears.

Carter should be a nice pickup. Never understood that move by the Vikes though in cutting him. He looked awesome in the preseason and many of my neighbors were touting him highly.

Must temper my optimism though given the fact that he was cut by a team with little proven talent at WR and signed the ever underachiever Todd Pinkston as well.

I was listening to Vikings pregame on KFAN in Minneapolis before their last game, and Carter was interviewed. They were throwing all the tough questions at him. My favorite was, "So what is it that makes you so great -- your hands or your speed?". Made me wanna ralph. I could understand it if they lobbed that softball to Moss, but to a guy who is maybe a decent #4 WR? YUCK!

Not saying I'm in favor of vicious questions by the media, but this was prettly lame.

Anyway, I think he's worth a look at least.
