It looked bad after the first half as Aaron didn't seem to have any answers but he showed us again his GREATNESS !

Tony Romo certainly has a tremendous faith and respect for Aaron Rodgers.

this is solid reportage.

Bears game may be just as close.

Probably backup tackles again

It just limits our offense a lot.

excited by the play of King and Jones. Keep giving them reps; hopefully they are starter material by January. Wanted to see more of Marwin Evans, but he got hurt (hopefully just cramps).

Defense played much more confidently in the 2nd half. Jones and King should only get better.

Josh Jones had 11 unassisted tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, 2 QB hurries

That line is pitiful. All Rodgers and his receivers.

It was a damn miracle Rodgers could do anything in this game running for his life all afternoon. Losing our tackles is killing this offense.

I'd say Jones is my MVP of the game.

Can't say enough about that kid.

Cincy really ran out of gas. On offense they shut it down too early. Thank you for running the ball late in the game.

I don't blame Cincy for trying to run it in OT. They ran it down out throats in that drive late in the 4th but thankfully couldn't finish it with 6.

Jones was excellent. I also enjoyed listening to Tony Romo - far superior to Aikman and the clown he teams with.

Permit me to say I was wrong when I said the Packers O Line was so bad that it didn't make much different if several starters were hurt. Well, it dig make a difference. They managed to did up Murphy and McCray who were painfully worse. Just the same, Aaron Rodgers proved again that no matter how shitty our O Line is, he can dodge the pass rush to get the job done - most of the time.

Allison was excellent at times too. Kendrick, after doing basically nothing the entire preseason and regular season, actually showed up. King wasn't as good as last week, but he was decent part of the time. Was Clinton-Dix even in the game in the second half? I sure didn't notice him. Martinez finally is starting to look like a keeper too.

It was better audio, wasn't it? Didn't even notice til you posted, but he didn't sound like he was whispering while leaving the booth like he did last week.

He might be. One bad coverage mixup, but otherwise sturdy as all get out.

Also would consider vote for Martinez, who started slow, had a part of the coverage problem but became a flat out beast against the run in the second half.

The line isn't bad but losing our tackles is what is killing this offense right now. Only a superior QB like Rodgers is going to able to do anything under that kind of pressure. Can you imagine Brady trying to function behind the line as it is right now?

Maybe the communication failure was on Jones, but the actual coverage belonged to Burnett and he just botched it.

The Games Stat's are here as well.

I thought that the Team of Nace and Romo brought a lot to this game. Tony Romo deserves a Big Raise already;he has it !

Yes and that's a difficult assignment for a Rookie.

I dunno, but I loved it.

In a minor "one of a kind quirk" both punters had 6 punts for 296 yards.

Both teams also had stars born. Jones appears to be a special guy as does Mixon, the Cincy RB.

Woody, we were very fortunate indeed. Some homes around us had some cosmetic damage and a lot trees fell. The eye of the storm went just east of us so we escaped the brunt of Irma's fury.

Harlan Huckleby

After thinking about it, replacing Burnett's experience is ridiculous idea. And ya, Jones'd be a strong safety. Replacing Ha Ha is out of question too.

Blake Martinez 6-2 237
Joe Thomas 6-1 227
Josh Jones 6-2 220
HaHa 6-1 208
Morgan Burnet 6-1 209

Jones is a tweener, but looks more like a lanky safety to me

Seems like Jones needs to be on field every down

Zool

If anything Jones will take over the Nitro MLB spot and send Burnett back to safety. That will be a bit though. Rook has some growing to do. He looks the part so far.

Harlan Huckleby
09-24-2017, 11:10 PM
Kam Chancellor is a really big safety at 6-3 225.

Rookie, shmookie. Let Josh Jones grow into a starting job right away.

Harrison Smith was stud for Vikes as rookie. Ha ha started as rookie, right?

Probably this only happens with an injury.

If nothing else, Jones can take snaps away from Thomas. Thomas is a total liability in the run game.

Did he not play starters snaps today? I didn't watch the game. Sure seemed like his name was called on the radio a lot. He and Burnett at the ILBs on 3rd down, maybe more. He's effectively a starter.

well...the d grew as the game went along. gave up 17 points total and only 3 in the 2nd half. o struggled as it always seems to but gets better in the 2nd half. no one had a great game except Crosby and Allison. others had good games and great moments... Jones, Nelson, Rodgers, Brooks, Martinez, others. gutsy win.

I was wondering that too. Watching the game on TV, I saw very little of him on the field. Either he wasn't in or he was so far out in center field doing such a good job that no action went his way. If anybody knows for sure, inquiring minds want to know.

Packers had Evans playing deep center field most of the game. Clinton-Dix was playing up on the line. With Ryan hurt, Burnett and Jones were playing LB most of the game.

With the "4 safeties" defense we are playing, Jones will get some looks as a hybrid LB.
