The root problem is Jimmy Haslam knows a whole lot about owning/running truck stops. Kudos. Unfortunately for Cleveland he know zip, zilch, zero about owning and operating an NFL franchise. But his ego is intact.

This story as we are reading it is simply unbelievable and describes such total incompetence.

I look at it as someone saved the franchise from a horrible decision:
Give up a 2nd and a 3rd for McCarron ? Who the hell thought that was a good idea in Cleveland ?

You then deem it as Divine Providence. :-)
All is well that ends well. The Best Intentions of Mice and some Men.
The Cleveland Brown Brass.
Their like the small child that gets to the can on time and has a great shit and gets so excited about that; that he/she forgets to wipe his/her ass.

So Cleveland is so incompetent that they can't complete a trade on time, but they are also so incompetent that they would trade two high picks to a team within their own division for a backup QB. So they are at the stage where multi levels of front office incompetencies are cancelling out? Only in Cleveland.

Don't want to use a first round pick on Wentz or Watson, but willing to give up a 2nd and 3rd for McCarron.

The title of the thread is wrong. This bungling has proved that even when you think Cleveland has bottomed out, they find new and baffling ways to keep going lower.
