Packers lead the Series 9-5.

Last meeting: November 8, 2015. Panthers outscored the Packers 24-0 in the 2nd quarter to break open a close game. Packer made a game of it, getting inside the Panthers 10 yard line before an INT.

Panthers ran for 216 yards yesterday against the Vikings #2 ranked run defense. That's my biggest concern.

Is Carolina's offense better than the Steelers'?

I don't know. Last year I went into severe Eeyore mode at the end of the season and nearly single-handedly took this team all the way to the NFC Championship game, despite the lousy drafting of TT, the erratic, miserable play-calling of MM, and the bad hairpiece and communication of Dom Capers.

I'm just trying to work that old magic again. After I read online about how horrible all the above are at their jobs, the only way I can figure that they got to the NFC Championship game last year was due to my hyper-negative predictions each week.

It's hard work, but we've all got to do what we can to overcome all the incompetence at 1265 Lombardi. Or wherever it is they work.

Without Aaron Rodgers Starting Vs Carolina the Packers will likely, based on the following Data, lose the game.

When will we find out if Rodgers is playing?

Does the team have to announce it by a certain day or do we just find out come game-time Sunday... "Oh look, #12 is under center!"

I've been thinking that as well, make them game plan for both QB's. Although it's probably not real tough game planning for Hundley.

MM: Yesterday's game graded out as one of the worst of the year. Too many mental errors.

It had to be 'Divine Providence' to win that game in Cleveland; as it was going Vs the BROWNS.

The Green Bay Packers looked horrible.

The bottom line was written:

The Green Bay Packers win in OT. The Packers are alive for a possible Playoff position.

The game this week in Carolina will be a difficult test.

The Panthers are playing decently Vs tough NFC teams (See the last two weeks below) and their Star TE Greg Olsen is back for his second week after being out with an injury. This Guy is a big concern.

Packer Report @PackerReport
Team had to put together two game plans, McCarthy says. Late night for offensive staff, he notes.

McCarthy on the corners: "We've got to go play." A lot like last year with the injuries. Points to Randall and Hawkins; expanded roles of Jones and Whitehead.

If you go to the Packers' website and look at photos of yesterday's practice Lucas Patrick is wearing a huge club on his hand like Perry did. I don't recall hearing he hurt it before.

He popped up on the injury list a bit ago during the week. It was just around the time Lane Taylor was getting healthy and people were worried they'd be down two guys that week. Taylor played I think and Patrick was inactive I think. Maybe a month ago?

What happened with Goodson? Seems like he came off the PUP list after his knee and was immediately moved to the injured list for a hamstring. Did he play at all or hurt himself in practice?

and from other comments MM made the last few weeks i don't think he's really ready to play. yes he's medically cleared but, like Jordy when he first came back, he not close to 100%.

All is well.

Jason Spriggs will make his fourth consecutive start at right tackle when the Green Bay Packers face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Spriggs showed up on Thursday’s injury report as limited participation (hip) but coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t concerned about his availability on Friday morning.

“Not a concern for Jason,” McCarthy said. “Just following the procedure of if someone has to come out of practice for a few reps. So, I look for him to be fine.”

Spriggs, Ryan, Goodson and Perry are questionable. All including Ryan have practiced in limited fashion. Brooks, Dial and Patrick were full participants.

The Panthers injury report is a snow job. Only four of the 38 players listed did not practice in full this week.

Football Perspective @fbgchase

Did you know: the two best run defenses by YPC have a 5-22 record. The 5 worst run defenses by YPC will likely make the playoffs.

Packers currently are tied for 10th best at 4.0 which is impressive for ILBs who have zero instincts. It also probably means teams prefer to pass.
